Bottle 33cl from Mondial de la biere. A clear amber red beer with good head and good lacing. Nose is malty with caramel and slightly burnt notes. Aroma is on dry caramel, medium sweet to low, carared malt notes as well as metallic notes. Body is a bit watery, slightly sour, no too robust. Peppery hops on aftertaste.

From bottle in a cafe in Talmont-sur-Gironde, France 23/8/07. Amber coloured with a slight white head. Aroma of sweet red fruit. Flavour was also sweet but with some warming alcohol and a touch of hops in the finish. A bit clinical for me, but ok.

Bottle: Poured a clear amber colored beer with a medium head with more or less of retention. Aroma is quite special and the only way I can describe this is like very salty corn. Taste is also very similar to the aroma and reminiscent of fresh corn with salt and ending with a smoke feeling. The label mentioned cognac being used in this beer and I’m not sure of the impact of this on the beer. I’m not sure I would drink this on a regular basis but not too bad as a one off.
