COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Launched at Gladmat 2012.

Uklar orangebrun farge med tynt hvitt skum. Lukter av malt og sødme. Medium fylde. Sødme også i avslutningen.

Gylden brun noe tåkete med fingerhøyt beige skum. Lukter noe sydhavsfrukt, trevirke, blomster og noe sitrus. Middels til lett. Lett fruktig søtlig smak. Middels bitterhet.

Bottle from OSL airport tax free. Clear light brown with a strong head. Nose of caramel, blackcurrant (!), malt and something odd, like vegetables. Slightly bitter with same blackcurrant, hay and other citrusy notes. Light body with low carbonation. Ok but by no means stunning.

Light amber coloured and clear, almost. Has a white head. Sweet aroma with some odd hoppy notes. Flavor starts sweet, sugar, moderate bitter finish.

33 cl bottle from Vinmonopolet. Pours hazy copper with almost no head. Maybe too cold... Typiical hoppy citrus flavored ipa. Not too bitter. Good but no cigar.

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours golden amber, nose is light citrus, taste is bitter, sweet toffee.

Red brown and clear with appalingly low foam levels. Strong hoppy aroma which unfortunately is very simple. Tastes mildly of vegetables, like a carbonated mixture of brussel sprouts, peas and broccoli. A quite anonymous IPA.

Old rating rerated 06.08.2014, 0,33l bottle @ FjordLine M/V Bergensfjord:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly fruity, caramel malts, dried fruits, leafs, pine needles, sap, hops, grass. Taste is dry grassy, hops, leafs, pine needles, lawn, caramel malts, sap, bark, hints of dried fruits. Longlasting bitterness, dry mouthfeel. Nice enough.

My Bottom Line:
Peach juice floats on top of wet caramelized cereals, as big bubbles succeed into promoting bitter resins and oranges in the finish.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the misty amber.
-This may be forgettable, but it’s still drinkable and nicely bitter.
-The caramel malts in this IPA point towards the 80s.
-This seems to have suffered from time or travel. But it’s well within it’s best by date...

Bottle.

Bottled. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of caramel, hops, and citrus fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, hops, and straw, leading to a bitter finish.
