Nice christmas beer, with hints of champagne and chritmas cookies. Not extreme enough, and just a tiny aftertaste.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 tfredvik (630) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 21, 2012
Clear, dark brown copper-ish body with a nice creamy light tan head that is quite long-lived and that leaves some lacing on the glass. Moderate aroma with sweet caramel, some toasted notes and chalk. The taste is moderate sweet and moderate bitter. The flavours follow the aroma, but with far more dried dark fruits. It’s also pretty vinous, a bit too obvious alcohol for the ABV. Nice mouthfeel, medium plus body, smooth texture and soft carbonation, but the finish has a vague metal feel. A nice beer that I wouldn’t mind trying again this christmas, if it hadn’t been for the fact that there are several christmas beers that are far better...
[33 cl bottle, enjoyed 15 months before BB date, from Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo]

Shared bottle at Christmas beer tasting 15.12.12
Dark color with a little red.
Aroma is dominated by roasted malts and alcohol, some hints of ketchup!?
Feels rich in the mouth, the first taste is licorice then the aftertaste is long and pleasent sweet malt, finishes of with a warming alcohol sensation.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet. Pours a dark brown colour with a nice head that dissipates quickly. Medium aroma of malts and yeast. Mouthfeel is ok. Taste is sweet, with hints of caramel, bread and some dark fruits. Mild on the aftertaste. Pretty good, but expected more from this one.
