djoeye (2244) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 7, 2014
Beige/tan head, clear dark brown ruby body (rosewood?), crocheted carpet lacing. Aroma; malts, nuts, leaves, bread, small hops, cigar leaves. Taste; juicy malts, juicy nuts, roasted caramel malts, roasted chestnuts. Feels well bodied, slightly flourish. Finishes somewhat dry, dark malts, nutty syrup, chocolate notes, lingering and nice. Overall; in the late xmas evening, calm down with this and a bowl with nuts. [33cl emerald btl, abv6.5%, #280 BB:APR16, B@Vinmonopolet Tromsdalen, 5€, T@höme]

Smakt hos Berentsen Brygghus. En av de aller beste juleølene. Fin bitterhet og sjokoladesmak.

Nuts, coffee, chocolate, caramel, licorice and some fruits and berries in the aroma. Dark brown with a tan head. Medium to heavy sweet and medium bitter. Medium to full body with a average carbonation. Overall quite nice, but perhaps a bit to carbonated.

Cimbasso (328) - - AUG 19, 2014
Very deep ruby going on brown colour. Very clear (this beer is filtered) with a light beige head. Little in the way of aroma, but the taste is very smooth with a red fruits - cherry, strawberry, raspberry and plum - present in the taste along with coffee and brown bread. Very little hop flavour, but enough to balance the sweetness. Beautiful Christmas Ale, although I am not sure that I would call it a porter, the description under which it is listed.
