A deep red beer with a thin brown head. Both the aroma and flavor are sweet roasted combined with notes of caramel.

(Bottle 33 cl) Beautiful, clear mahogany with a warm, reddish hue and a creamy, brownish head. Very hard roasted - almost burned - aroma. Nice body dominated by bitter, burned malt. A surprising stylistic choice for a Norwegian Christmas beer, but certainly an excellent one. 030106

Bottled. Dark ruby red colour with small beige head. Aroma is vegetably malty and slightly roasted. Flavour is sugar, roasted malts and dry dark druits. Lacks some spices etc to be a good Christmas seasonal.

Bottle. Aroma is malty with some notes of roast barley. Very dark brown colour with a little red. Semi-stable light brown head. Quite powerful liquorice flavour and aftertaste. Aftertaste is also dusty. Reminds of slightly weak Baltic porter (which it turned out to be). Semi-low carbonation. Nice.
