3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Rune (4924) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAR 5, 2012
Bottle, 500ml, overpriced from Fenaknoken. Full score on appearance with its lasting, medium-sized, beige head covering a clear, golden-brown body. Spotty lacing to glassware. Smell of herbal hops and semi-sweet malts. Slightly roasted dark caramel malts in flavour with hints of brown sugar offset by a dry hoppy ending. Medium bodied. One of the best among Norwegian beers below 4.75% abv (hotel room, Oslo 28.02.2012).
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 visionthing (532) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 7, 2012
Bottle. Pours reddish dark brown with a small light brown head. Aroma of hops, caramel and slightly roasted malt. Sweet caramel taste with a nice dry and bitter finish. Very tasty and one of the best "shop strenght" beers in Norway.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Palme (1437) - Bergen, NORWAY - JAN 4, 2012
0.5l bottle @ Henrik, Bergen. This one pours a clear deep deep amber body with a nice big and lasting fluffy off-white head. Low aroma on this one. Some malt sweetness, a hint of fruitiness also and if I look deep and really really concentrate I actually find some thin hints of hops. It has a soft oily mouthfeel and a soft to average carbonation level. Nice flavors. It’s light malty and a hint of sweet caramel. Also some buttery tones and in the finish I get quite a lot of bitter hops. A nice one this one.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2012 Bottle. Dark red colour with an off white head. Mild malty nose with some caramel. Lots of caramel in the flavour.
3.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Tequilakongen (287) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 7, 2011
This one surprised me by being more hoppy than I had expected, aroma was quite modest. Colour is dark brown and off-white head. (Bottle)
3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 ClubGonzo (1950) - Bergen, NORWAY - NOV 21, 2011
Bottle, courtesy of StoreMy, thanks man. :-) Pours a deep coppery amber body with a small white head. Aroma is mild malty notes with hints of caramel and yeast. Taste is burnt sugar, caramel, dry hop tones and hints of honey. Balanced and rather nice, with a tiny sting of burn sugar which makes it all a bit more interesting. After tasting several of Berentsen’s Norwegian grocery store-strength beer, I must say I’m impressed with the high level of quality and taste in these relatively low ABV beers.
2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 tmrmwel (230) - Bergen, NORWAY - AUG 12, 2011
Bottle. Pours dark brown, with a small, airy head. Not much aroma, but some faint malty notes of syrup and light smoke. Lots of malts in flavour as well, with some burned taste and candi sugar. Fairly long malty finish.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 gyllenbock (1914) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUN 20, 2011
On tap at Cardinal, Stavanger in June 2011.
Dark amber with a small white head. Nothing sensational, drinkable with malt, caramel, bread and some notes of hops. Rather bitter finish.
