2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 TyggaBrown (256) - NORWAY - MAY 14, 2013
I’m not all into this over-caramelled, malty beers. This one smells great, but the taste is not well-balanced in my eyes. The bitterness has lost the battle with the Malt Army - sadly...
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Beer3000 (3727) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAY 8, 2013
500 ml bottle sampled in 2009. Clear amber body with a nice beige head. Nice aroma of citric fruit and caramel malt. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, citric fruit, toast and balanced bitterness. Medium body and decent aftertaste. Naturally a bit lighter in body than the original 5,5 % ABV version, but they manage to capture most of the profile here. A nice beer for the Norwegian grocery marked.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Alexus (239) - Stavanger, NORWAY - OCT 31, 2012
0,5L bottle from Helgø Meny. Pours clear, deep brown with a nice tan head. Aromas of caramel and toffee. Pleasent taste of toffee and some dark malts. Smooth bittnerness. A beer I often buy at the store.
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 tfredvik (630) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 24, 2012
Deep amber brownish body with a light-brown head that leaves some lacing on the glass. The aroma is lightly toasted with dark caramel, mild coffee, tin can and fruits in the back. Moderate to light sweet taste with a sharp metallic moderate bitter finish with faint stale coffee and some unfitting acidic citric notes. Dry and metallic mouthfeel. Nah, not that good.
[50 cl bottle, from Meny Oslo City, Oslo]
3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Holmen1 (1079) - NORWAY - AUG 23, 2012

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 daje (1291) - NORWAY - JUL 9, 2012
Bottle, from Centra Majorstua.
Dark brown color, medium beige head.
Aroma of caramel, toffee, and some fruity hops, but far from what I expect as the label proclaims "generous amonts of american cascade hops". Roasty taste with toffee, and again, not the bitterness you expect from reading the label. Still an ok beer
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Bathory (360) - Bryne, NORWAY - JUL 2, 2012
Pours amber colour with a white head. Aroma of hay, pine, some caramel and nuts. Medium body. A easy to drink amber ale, that is just fine for me, but the 5,5 avb version has some more depth that allows the tastes to be more present.
