Hilsen Harald Berentsen

Bottled 330ml. -Courtesy of and shared with Marko/heavy (thanks!). Darker amber/brown coloured, small to medium sized off-white head, nutty malty nose. Sweet malty, nutty caramel and discreet hoppy with hint of spices in the finish. Let’s say ordinary beer.

0.33l bottle. This is a really classic looking Norwegian juleøl colored one with a clear deep dark almost bronze colored body and a small light bubbly and light lacing off-white head. Good malty and nose going on here. A nice darkness with both old grounded coffee, dark malts, some burned caramel and a soft spicy touch. Doesn’t smell bad at all. It tastes alright as well. Surprisingly well actually. Wasn’t really expecting much, so that could be the reason. It’s both nutty and dark malty in the mouth. Soft oily on the mouthfeel and it’s well carbonated. A faint slightly acidic metal hint disturbs the rest of the dark malty flavors a bit, but not so much that it’s to disturbing. All in all a nice little surprise, but not something I ever would even consider to have with the Christmas food. 09.12.2013

33 cl bottle. I prefer the christmas beers to be stronger. This is weak in both taste and alcohol. I get the "pilsener" feeling with this beer. Not the rich malty taste christmasbeers usually have.

Light brown see-through colour with e white head. Aroma of bread, and malts. Flavour is much the same. Feels like a bit darker pilsener, a good beer for just 4,7 avb.
