2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Bathory (54) - Bryne, NORWAY - APR 20, 2012
An okay lager, better than most of the other industrial-lagers in Norway in my opinion. Sweet floral aroma, with a small touch of hay and grass. Yellow colour with a small white head. Quite sweet finish.
0.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20 Alexus (150) - Stavanger, NORWAY - MAR 13, 2012
Skuffende...
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20 ClubGonzo (1950) - Bergen, NORWAY - MAR 13, 2012
Bottle from Fenaknoken. Pours a clear pale golden body with a small white head. Nose is sweet grainy pilsner malt notes and...not much more. Taste is pretty much the same: sweet grainy light malt notes, balanced by a moderate amount of neutral-tasting hops. Inoffensive and not bad, just boring. Another run-of-the-mill Norwegian lager;
1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 Splitenz (7) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 3, 2012 does not count
Just doesnt cut it. Like a danish surplus pilsner, like Starpilsner or whatever they were called. Watery feel with a metalic tinge to it. Not helped by and overall feel that this is somehow "off" (gone past its sellbydate). Lovely label though. Give this a miss and try their Rav instead.

Bottle. Light golden with a small white head. Sweet malt with some floral tones and just a hint of hops. Light and watery without much bitterness. Slightly better than the average industrial Norwegian pale lager.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 gyllenbock (1914) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 30, 2011
Bottle bought in Stavanger, June 2011.
Clear pale golden with a large white head. Thin and sweet with weak aroma and taste. Some malt and grass. Not an interesting beer to be honest.
2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 trapez (1352) - Hilleroed, DENMARK - SEP 17, 2010
Bottle. A surprisingly pleasant aroma for a pilsener with flowers, hay and a bit of hops. Light yellow colour with white head. Quite ordinary lager flavour except from a bit of flowerish sweetness.
