12 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is dark chocolate malty with a light roasted malt note. Light smoked and sweet malty flavoured. Bitter and light hoppy herbal hops profile. Roasted malty and light chocolate flavoured finish.

A superb stout, well balanced and with a lingering aftertaste without being overwhelming on the palate.

Bottle at Henriks Øl og Vinstove, Bergen. Almost black with a creamy beige head. Sweet molasses aroma, hints of roast. Semi-sweet, good roast. Not bad, but more milk stout character than dry stout in my opinion.

Bottled. Thanks Sigmund. Almost black colour, with a steady, creamy head. The aromas from dark malts, that are almost non-existing, are overpowered by milk. Not much toast here. In flavour, same problem. Feels very light in roastiness, and the milkiness is very present, almost acidic. Mouthfeel feels like it’s been diluted. Bitterness is very low. Naaah....

Tap at Gladmatfestival Stavanger. Black with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt. Flavor is roasted too, a great sourness, and it feels great. Surprising good.

330ml bottle served lightly chilled at Henrik Øl & Vinstove in Bergen. Tan, bubbly head over jet black body. Spotty laceworks on the glass. Plain dark malty aroma. Roasted, almost burnt, taste of coffee malts with a touch of bitter chocolate to the ending. A bit diluted mouthfeel and mediocre for the style, but, nonetheless, drinkable (18.06.2009).

7 April 2009. Tap at Cardinal. This was a large surprise. Black, with delicious brown head. Almost like the favourite Guiness. A bit more alcohol and a bit more carbonized. Very smooth, with a roasted aftertaste.

It is black with a light brown and creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, light chocolate and spice. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of roasted malt, light smoke and coffee and the finish is dry with light notes of citrus. It is a nice stout with a rather low ABV.
