Bottled. A dark brown beer with a thin lazing thin tan head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and nuts. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, nuts, roasted malt, and a bit of phenol, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Bottle. A black beer with a small, firm beige head. Roasted, or maybe rather burnt aroma with some notes of dried fruits and coffee. A little touch of coffee too. Thin in the mouth, after all it’s just 4.7% ABV, and rather dry and silky. Still it’s giving a sweet impression, especially in the finish, along with coffee, burnt malt and a touch of chocolate and dried fruits. The finish has a nice burnt bitterness with little evidence of hops. A pleasant, quaffable and well-tasting example of the species. (081214)

Bottle, 4.7%. Good sweet liquorice aroma, also some raw liquorice. Seemingly clear dark brown colour. Small stable light brown head. The flavour has the same liquorice and some roasted coffee. Good, especially for the ABV.
