3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Palme (1190) - Bergen, NORWAY - JAN 4, 2012
0.33l bottle @ Henrik, Bergen. This is a deep deep brown - almost black beer with a nice big and lasting heavy lacing dense chocolate head. The aroma has chocolate, chocolate paper, some ashtray, cold coffee, roasted malts and hints of black berries. Quite nice. Oh, more ashy flavors in the taste. It’s average carbonated with a mild oily to watery mouthfeel. Some light burned/roasted malts in the flavor along with cold almost sweet coffee, some cardboard-hints before it ends in a chocolate-paper finish and a long mouthdrying aftertaste. The mouthfeel is of course as expected due to the 4.7% abv, but all in all this was a nice stout.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Tequilakongen (263) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 30, 2011
A little sweetness, then distinct bitterness to the finish. Caramels in the aroma. Light body, I felt this beer had some weaknesses. (33 cl bottle)
3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 garza (460) - Oslo (NO), Caracas (VE), VENEZUELA - AUG 20, 2011
Pours deep black with a brown and frothy head. Malts, some coffee and dark chocolate on the nose. Roasted malts with notes of cocoa in the flavour- Also some sensations of burnt caramel and dry fruits like raisins there. Medium sweetness, lightly bitter. Medium body, creamy, average to soft carbonation and a malty light bitter finish. Quite a surprise. Good one.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 larsga (4420) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 16, 2011
Medium brown head. Nearly opaque black body goes deep dark red at
edges. Roasty burnt coffee aroma with earthy mealy minty notes.
Dry-sweetish roasty minty grainy taste with burnt chocolate
notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish mouthfeel. Clean, fresh palate.
Dry roasty resiny earthy aftertaste with metallic burnt cold
coffee notes. Very nice and drinkable, but perhaps a little
austere. (0.33l bottle, Centra Majorstuen, Oslo.)
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 daje (520) - NORWAY - JUL 11, 2011
Bottle picked up at Centra.
Close to black, good beige head.
Lighly roasted aroma with coffee notes and berries.
Taste is very similar, to me it loses a bit out on taste by having a low abv. Would have liked this a bit stronger with a bit more body.
