3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
On bottle from Vinmonopolet Stovner. Dark brown color- no foam. High aroma intensity; licorice, malt, sherry, some christmas spices - also distinct Full body & high complexity. Immediate sweetness, definetly stays on the sweet side. Enjoyable- but too much sweetness & alcohol; unbalanced.

Clear black-ruby body, no foam at all. Aroma; raisin-prune-liqour.
Taste; dark malts, dark syrup, dark fruit liquor. Finishes warm liquorish fruity. Feels 19%... Overall a stronger DoppelBock than usual, as Imperial Doppelbock. [33cl brown btl, abv19%, BB, B@vinmonopolet Langnes Tromsø 13€ T@höme]

Voldsomt øl. Mer en kuriositet enn et øl. Passer muligens til en kraftig sjokoladekake. Smakt inne I Berentsen bryggeriet.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Vinmonopolet Lillemarkens. Dark brown, no head. Small fizz when opened, so there is some carbonation at least. Red fruit and alcohol nose. Plum, burnt sugar, caramel, coffee flavour. Sweet. Bitter ending. Thick, very oily body. Warming. A little carbonation, which is more than expected. Interesting, but really didn’t need to be this high in alcohol.

Shared a 2014 ed. bottle at home, tasted right on the release day on Nov 3rd 2014. Pours dark brown with thin tanned head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee and licorice, some alcohol. Salt, smooth mouthfeel with some sharpness coming from the alcohol, alcoholic warmth.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle: Rubin red-brown color, no head. Aroma is raisins, plums, soy sauce, burnt malt, alcohol, tobacco, molasse. Flavor is oily, sirupy, intensive sweetness, molasse, dark fruits, burnt malt, bitterness. Warming but not my style. Can’t understand, why they sell this in 0,5 liter.

Thanks to Bernt for this one. Brown with some ruby highlights and virtually no head. Aroma is raisins, plums, hint of soy sauce. Full bodied, boozy, slightly sweet on the palate with a boozy finish. Taste is soy sauce, raisins, dates, booze, hint of anise. Nice but a little rough.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
50cl bottle @ home. Dark ruby colour with no head. Taste and aroma are well hidden under a big alcoholic cloud. Yeah, you can feel the chrismas-beer inside there some place... Interesting.

2013 årgang. 19 % alcoholic monster. Thick dark sirupy and burnt malt with a punch of alcohol. Might be that I should have saved this a couple of years.
