Deep red-brown color, no head. Dried fruit nose, toffee, chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, alcohol. Dried fruit taste, licorice, chocolate, roasted malt, alcohol. Full body, flat carbonation, very oily to sticky texture, warming. Interesting, yet heavy and a bit too much.

Arve_Christian (3784) - Oslo, NORWAY - DEC 20, 2014
On bottle from Vinmonopolet Stovner. Dark brown color- no foam. High aroma intensity; licorice, malt, sherry, some christmas spices - also distinct Full body & high complexity. Immediate sweetness, definetly stays on the sweet side. Enjoyable- but too much sweetness & alcohol; unbalanced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear black-ruby body, no foam at all. Aroma; raisin-prune-liqour. Taste; dark malts, dark syrup, dark fruit liquor. Finishes warm liquorish fruity. Feels 19%... Overall a stronger DoppelBock than usual, as Imperial Doppelbock. [33cl brown btl, abv19%, BB, B@vinmonopolet Langnes Tromsĝ 13€ T@höme]

Voldsomt ĝl. Mer en kuriositet enn et ĝl. Passer muligens til en kraftig sjokoladekake. Smakt inne I Berentsen bryggeriet.

ABS (687) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - NOV 11, 2014
Bottle from Vinmonopolet Lillemarkens. Dark brown, no head. Small fizz when opened, so there is some carbonation at least. Red fruit and alcohol nose. Plum, burnt sugar, caramel, coffee flavour. Sweet. Bitter ending. Thick, very oily body. Warming. A little carbonation, which is more than expected. Interesting, but really didn’t need to be this high in alcohol.

Shared a 2014 ed. bottle at home, tasted right on the release day on Nov 3rd 2014. Pours dark brown with thin tanned head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee and licorice, some alcohol. Salt, smooth mouthfeel with some sharpness coming from the alcohol, alcoholic warmth.

Geiserich (3621) - Linz, AUSTRIA - OCT 25, 2014
Bottle: Rubin red-brown color, no head. Aroma is raisins, plums, soy sauce, burnt malt, alcohol, tobacco, molasse. Flavor is oily, sirupy, intensive sweetness, molasse, dark fruits, burnt malt, bitterness. Warming but not my style. Can’t understand, why they sell this in 0,5 liter.
