COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For decades Berg Original has been our main beer brand. It has had many names before (Lager, Helles, Export). The yellow color in the label remained unchanged though and eventually turned gold. Therefore many friends of Berg beer call it "the yellow one". In the pub, the inn and on many festivities the "half liter" is Berg beer. It is the synonym for the fine, traditional way of brewing.

50cl bottle, Edeka somewhere in BW’s fields. Easy drinking, slightly sweet/lieblich mash-inflected BW Helles with no flaws, nor any prominent hop characteristics. Tastes as if bottom-fermented to the degree zero essentials over the ages. A "half liter" of the "yellow one" will go down as innocuously as a lonely stroll over the Alb, - the most prominent taste being that of your accompanying mood.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig, leicht würzig. Geschmack angenehm malzig würzig, minimale Bitterkeit.

Antrunk blumig-frisch-muffig. Hauptteil blumig-süßlich-komisch. Kaum herb. Nachgeschmack süßlich und irgendwie ziemlich schnell weg. Nicht so mein Ding - irgendwie komisch-süßlich!

Bottle 50cl, a clear yellow beer with medium head. Nose is on grain and cereal. Aroma is again malty, quite sweet, crisp with light honey touch and grassy hops, well carbonated. A nice pilsner

Süß-herber Beginn. Hopfig werdend, angenehm würzige Mischung. Die Süße wird flacher, die Herbe konstant und befindet sich wenig später im Vordergrund. Helles Malz. Harmonisch, sehr süffig. Durchaus gut! 8/9/9/9/9/9

0,5 l bottle. Easy to drink beer with a bit too much carbonation. Nice hop aroma dominating. Clear and easy. Good one.

It’s yellow golden with a creamy, white head. The aroma has notes of malt, bread, grain and flower. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes bread, malt, newly harvested grain, flower and light straw - it’s lovely and harmonic!

Draught zum Ochsen. Light yellow-golden with a fluffy bright white head. Surprisingly hoppy for style, both in the nose and mouth, very noble, though there are some rubbery/plastic tendencies. Light, smooth body. Probably a little above average for an Export.

Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and grainy. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Dry and light bitter finish.
