Tap @ former brewery Grüner Baum Biberach, closed in 2005. Cellar aroma with some flowery notes. Malty, slightly flowery flavor with some hops shining through in the aftertaste. Well balanced helles.

Draught zum Ochsen. Light yellow-golden with a fluffy bright white head. Surprisingly hoppy for style, both in the nose and mouth, very noble, though there are some rubbery/plastic tendencies. Light, smooth body. Probably a little above average for an Export.

Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and grainy. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Dry and light bitter finish.

Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, hay, straw, toasted. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, grassy, light buttery. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20101116]

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts dry and a bit moldy, the finish is weaker, a bit sourish. Not so good.

Bottle. Light sour and sweat, good malty smell. Medium sized frothy white head which is only short lasting, a yellow body. Malty and light bitter taste, average duration. Creamy texture, medium body with a soft carbonation and a smooth finish.

Bottle (thanx to Quack-Duck!): Clear, golden, distinctive "rural"-grany nose;mid-sized, slowly diminishing white head; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; becomes a bit more towards the grainy-malty finish. Good session beer......

(bottle) Clear, greenish golden colour with a fluffy but unstable foamy white head. Slightly sweet malty with rural pig sty notes and fresh herbal hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, light medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Malt-accented, slightly grainy taste with a rural touch and a good herbal hoppy blend; dry and bitter-sweet, slightly hoppy finish. Clean and drinkable (27.02.08).

A yellow beer with a huge white head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with a light note of straw on a good malty back ground. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of straw and hops as well as light notes of citrus, leading to a dry bitter end.
