The bottle looks simple, but good, but not really like a festbier The beer in the glass nicely cloudy, small head. Starts mild, a bit spicy-grasy, yeasty. Finish a bit floury, still very mild, not really like a festbier. Could have more character, but still good.

The aroma has notes of malt, caramel and hints of straw. The flavour has a light sweetness, a slightly dry bitterness, notes of straw, caramel and malt. The sweetness and the bitterness unite in a very harmonic way

Into the glass pours a yellow ocher beer, the foam disappear completely within a few seconds. It smells malty and dry with light hops, a little yeast is still in the process. Starts yeasty-fruity, subtly hoppy in the background. The aftertaste is fruity and sour. Very sparkling! The center part will remain mild and pleasant fruity-yeasty.

(swing top bottle, 33cl) Cloudy, pale golden colour with a short frothy white layer. Slightly sweet and yeasty pale malty nose with a grainy touch and traces of spicy hops. Light-bitter flavour, medium to light bodied, crispy on the tongue. Moderately dry pale malt character, slightly yeasty taste with grainy accents; bitter-sweet and delicately hoppy finish. 15.X.08

Bügelverschlußflasche: Sweetish-grainy nose with a touch of cinnamon and pale malt; a bit unclear, golden with a smaller white head; sweetish-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; vanilla and cinnamon in the sweet-grainy finish. Not bad, but boring.......

bottle. Schäfleshimmel means little sheep’s heaven. This is a bottle conditioned bottom-fermenting lager. Hazy golden yellow, large and creamy white head. Malty, sweetish and fruity. The flavour reminds me of a good Kristallweizen, with clear banana flavours and very slightly hoppy only. Good.
