1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
500ml bottle from Tesco. A soft, slightly dirty but drinkable pale lager of little character. Like sucking a wet blanket.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Medium white coarse shiny head does not last. Yellow body. Fruity, rubbery aroma, kind of catty, very unusual. Dry, sharpish fruity, catty, rubbery aroma with paper and hop notes. I bet some of this is sulphur. Aftertaste is the same, except perhaps slightly more watery. Mouthfeel is sharpish and medium-bodied. This is very unusual, and probably does not appeal to many people, but I kind of liked it for some reason. (0.5l can from Star supermarket, Brasov, Romania.)

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. pale gold, sustaining white head. Vague hoppy aroma, some malt, not staleness. Initially thought It hasn’t really got a great deal going on taste wise, but not a bad mouthfeel. Quite crisp. Then some nice hoppy flavours developing. Interesting, quite someway above bottom rung. I’ve ended up enjoying this.

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle from the local offy hag. Typical lager appearance. First taste was terrible, I really was not impressed at all. Howver, it did get better. What the hell do I know? It got me a bit more drunk, I appreciate it’s contribution to the cause.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottled. A gold coloured lager with minimal head. The aroma is faintly fruity but mostly icy. The taste has some hop notes, but otherwise has very little flavour. Not nasty but very boring.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Gold, white head. Thought initially the aroma was quite floral, but subsequently decided it was like emulsion paint. Fizzy but quite tasty after that. Enjoyed it more than I thought I would, however this does not constitute an endorsement of the product...

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Golden beer with a light head. The aroma is is weak and oaty, and the flavour is very, very dry, with a oaty/cereal feel. Overall a poor beer.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
AndoBrew brought back a shlew of Romanian beers from his recent European excursion. I’m told Romanian beer can be a real special treat. Here’s hoping!
Apperance: Pours a clear, light yellow body with a fizzy white head. Lightly effervescent.
Smell: Exceedingly light pale malts with a touch of spicy hops. The aroma is marred by the addition of cooked musty vegetables.
Taste: Thin, weak maltiness with a subtle sweetness and some spice-minded hops are thrown under the bus by that darned vegetal flavor which rides the tongue through to the finish.
Mouthfeel: Thin-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Fairly unpleasant. This is indeed a bad start to the Night of Romanian Beers.
