(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 26 Aug 2015) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Roasted, malty nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate and dark bread. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, dark chocolate, roasted grain, a gentle chilli touch and a balanced cacao bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well balanced with a light chilli touch. Nice one.

Bottle, courtesy of bierkoning. Black color with thick long lasting beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, toffee, chilli. Taste, coffee, dark chocolate, liquorice and chilli in very light way. Long coffee bitter finish. Surprisingly rich taste for 4,0 %. I was afraid of chilli, but this is very tasty beer.

Many thanks to beerhunter111 for this 33cl bottle. Best before 03.2015. Smooth-malty beginning. Nice roasted, smooth. Heavy roasted malt, slightly dry body. The aftertaste is smooth malty with hints of spicy peppers. A nice fitting combination, but I’m not unhappy that the chilies are only very few. Long malty and heavily roasted aftertaste with hints of the chilies.

Bottle at Rooie Dop, Utrecht at the RBESG 2013 opening night. Poured a deep mahogany with a thin off-white head. The aroma is dry dusty yeast. The flavour is medium bitter, spicy with liqourice. The chili is there but it adds to the flavour without dominating.

Bottled @ DDDH, small sample. Dark color, short head. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, hint of pepper. Dark malty bitterness in taste, bit creamy, slight spicy hint. I have had it before and can remember the spicy bite was a bit stronger. Nice and easy drinker and lots of flavor for a 4% beer.

McTapps (6482) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - AUG 11, 2013
Bottle from bierkoning - with many thanks. Pours ot of the bottle in a unclear dark brown, almost black colour, low head and medium body. Nose of roasted malt. Taste of leather, very bittersweet chocolat, torf, nuts, burnt malt and roast. Hints of smoke. Finsihes quite sweet with some espresso hints. Not that easy to drink, but very spicy and aromatic.
