Uber gusher. Poured deep dark brown with a huge, frothy tan head. Aroma of sweet berries, roast malt, chocolate. Medium body, flavour as the aroma, a bit musty and dry, with coffee grinds.

Opaque dark brown beer, ginourmous fluffy pale tan head. Bottle continued a slow gush. Palate is airy, semi dry and crisp. Thin dark malts, some roast. Touch of sweet floralness before pine hop kicks in. Light dry finish. Mellow roasty linger. Not bad.

Pours a clear dark brown colour with great head and carbonation. Strong bitter/hoppy aroma, some fruity notes there. Red fruity flavour, nice sweet/bitter balance. Nice body, goes down warm and smooth.

Bottle, traded with Bierkoning. I was expecting resin over chocolate, while this one smells actually very fruity and sweet. Lots of orange, a bit less peach, flowers, a solid, roasted and chocolatey malty base, some cherries and, well, some coniferous notes but it’s more thuja than pine. By contrast, there is almost no sweetness at all in the taste. At first there comes a malty fullness, before the whole turns bitter, astringent and bone dry. Unbalanced. Well, at least it’s got some chocolate in the aftertaste.

Ridiculously large brownish head. After pouring one fifth of the glass the rest was full of this thick froth. Ok black ipa but not great. Flavor is of burned malts with some caramel and is mildly bitter. The alcohol is well hidden. Negative: flavor lacks depth, is a bit thin and fades fast. Not realy an ipa. More a hoppy bock. Positive: not sweet, pleasant texture and easy drinkable.

Mooie chocolade bruine kleur met een volle lichtbruine kraag. Ruikt fruitig, koffie, chocolade. Smaakt bitterzoet, chocolade, maar ook iets fris.

Aroma: Appearance: Taste: Palate: Overall: Seeing as the beer just exploded over a 5m radius, I cannot give it good marks! Severely overcarbonated.

33cl bottle Appearance: murky brown huge of white head about my fist, to much and light lacing. (Watch out it’s quite foamy and comming out allthough no real gusher.) Aroma: Roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and red fruit. Taste: Roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, light bitterness Thin body, high fizzy (over)carbonation More a porter and not a good one as a black IPA, misses the hoppy part.
