Aroma: Appearance: Taste: Palate: Overall: Seeing as the beer just exploded over a 5m radius, I cannot give it good marks! Severely overcarbonated.

33cl bottle Appearance: murky brown huge of white head about my fist, to much and light lacing. (Watch out it’s quite foamy and comming out allthough no real gusher.) Aroma: Roasted malts, coffee, chocolate and red fruit. Taste: Roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, light bitterness Thin body, high fizzy (over)carbonation More a porter and not a good one as a black IPA, misses the hoppy part.

Bottle. Murky brown with an enournous tan head. Not really a gusher, but pour sloooowwly! The head is pretty tasty though... Aroma is a bit underwhelming, with mainly grass and hay. Taste is much better! Coffee, chocolate, grass, somewhat floral, citrus, licorice. Little sweet, lots of bitter. Dry mouthfeel and longlasting dry finish.

Deep brown, near black colour with a huge foamy beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel toffee, dark chocolate, nuts, pine, hops. Flavour is much the same, roasty and with a bitter-dry finish. I quite enjoyed this Black IPA.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown black color with a small longlasting tan head. Has a slightly roasted malty weak hoppy aroma. Roasted malty hoppy bitter flavor. Has a roasted malty hoppy bitter finish.

Difficult to pour with major overcarbonation. Has a very grassy aroma. It’s got a grassy taste too. Some dark bitter roast malt too.

Bottle shared with McTapps. Quite a nutty one with just a bit if hops. Drinkable piwo, but really unspectacular Still to recommend.

Thanks to WillemsUrenkel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Gusher! Rest of the bottle in the glass deep black, huge head. Starts dry-malty, dusty, smokey, burnt-malty notes. More and more moldy and unbalanced. Not good.

Bottle from Douberd - many thanks! The Black IPA pours out in a deep black colour with very big and very steady (like beaten eggwhites just in a grey-brownish coloured tone) head, medium body . Aroma of hops and malt.Taste of mild but bitter hops, malt, nuts, torf, woods and chocolate. Finishes off quite dry-bitter but tasty and nice. Quaffable and easy to drink - solid and good Black IPA.

Berghoeve Donkerbruin Vermoeden, bottle, 330 ml. Into a big tulip. ABV 6% Opens with a slight hiss and after I pour in in the glass a huge brown head forms, while the beer in the bottle starts gushing slowly. The head is very thick and it takes ages to collapse. When it does, a thick lacing has been left behind. Colour of the beer is a very dark brown and a bit murky, at first, at least. Aroma of citrus on the front, chocolate and some roasted malts coming from the back. The taste offers the same expierence, some citrus at first and quickly the roasted malts are taking over. Less chocolate now but it’s still there. A bit peppery too every now and then. Medium thin body, okay carbonation, on the low side. Overall not bad, I would prefer it more hopped forward instead of the roasted malts.
