Thanks to bierkoning for that bottle. Looks really good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Fine hoppy aroma. Starts strong hoppy and interesting fruity like orange and grapefruit. Mild sourish notes. Finish drier, less fruity, more bitter. Great one!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
33 cl bottle from De Bierkoning @ home. Dark amber/copper color, somewhat hazy. Huge off white head with big bubbles with a small layer retention. Aroma’s: soft resin/pine, soft citrus, with some bready malt sweetness for balance, and a bit dark fruit retronasal. Flavor is resinous bitter, again with some malty sweetness to balance it out. Medium bodied. Firm bitter finish. Good stuff!

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle thanks to Benzai! Pours a dark amber coloured beer, slightly hazy, with a very nice lasting beige head. Great aroma of fruits like mango, pineapple and lychee. Taste is good as well, fruity hops again, bit of pepper, good bitterness as well as fruity sweetness. Decent body, nice high carbo. Berghoeve’s best so far I guess! This should definitely stay in its assortment.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass: Thanks Rene for the bottle: Thanks RBESG crew (and the brewer of course) for the beer!
Aroma from the bottle is already a nice mix of hop flowers and flor tones. Medium sized, vast and thicker, slowly changing white foamy head on top of a hazy to murky amber colored beer.
Aroma is very floral with a light fruity touch with some fruits like apricot, citrus and pine apple. Also some yeast and cream.
Flavour has a right away strong present and staying present bitterness with a tint of soap, that quickly but short shows some fruit than turns bitter again with some floral hop and plant tones. Different but the same... Fruity but not hoppy, floral but not dull.
Aftertaste is also bitter with a light hop spiced sensation and some chalk. Lots of floral, grass and plant tones.
Low to medium carbo, soft tingly creamy mouthfeel, medium to lightly fuller bodied and a creamy texture.
An exceptional, heavy but delicious IPA!
