Not much going on for aroma, slight hops and vague sweet malt. When the bar girl said the restaurant’s beers are from ’Monroe, wisCAHNsin’ (you know how she said it.) I knew what was up. Taste is more of the same, with some metal added. All that aside, at the right price this stuff is pretty doable.

Poured from 12oz bottle, pours a clear light amber with a thin bubbly head and no lacing, aroma is more of malt and just a hint of old hops, the flavor is of light hop water with a slight finish of malt, ugh.

Pretty decent red beer. Similar to a lienenkougel red but with much more flavor. Would probably no get again ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 4/9/2013. A moderate gusher upon opening. Pours fairly clear reddish copper color with a small foamy white head with decent retention, that reduces to a thin lacing cap that lingers. Minimal lacing on the glass. Aromas of raisin, prune, apple, caramel, bread, toast, molasses, and light herbal. Decent aromas with good strength and decent balance; very malty and fruity. Taste of caramel, raisin, toast, apple, bread, toffee, molasses, and light herbal. No bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of caramel, raisin, apple, toast, bread, toffee, molasses, and herbal on the finish for a bit. Decent flavor balance and robustness; with minimal cloying flavors present on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied; with a creamy and slick mouthfeel that is ok. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this as a decent amber, though it seems to be more like a Belgian. This was a little better than I expected it to be. Decently enjoyable.

This was on tap at Chicago O’Hare Airport. Surprised it wasn’t listed already. Appearance was, well, amber. Slight head didn’t last well. Aroma was mild caramel malts. Flavor was a match. Not much hop character, just enough to add a balancing bitterness, with a suggestion of a citric note. Overall, thoroughly unremarkable. But now documented at least.

Draft. Hazy amber color, tiny white head. Aroma of very subtle hay. Taste is watery caramel with a finish of subtle bitter cardboard. No.

Bottle. Light caramel malt , sour apple, and toast aroma. Amber with a small fizzy off-white head. Cloying sweet malt, metallic fruitiness, and a very light underlying bitter flavor. Medium body. Overly sweet for my taste.

Bottle. Aroma has notes of caramel malts and citrus hops. Appearance is dark reddish brown hue with a small fizzy/foamy off-white head that mostly diminished and left little lace. Flavor is medium sweet and lightly bitter. Palate is medium bodied and watery average. Overall a nonevent.
