coachmark34 (39), central Illinois, USA Jun 5, 2002 Very crisp and refreshing beer. Misses a little something here and there that stops it from being a really good pilsner, but nonetheless, it’s pretty decent. In all honesty the old Falstaff beer is a better Pilsner, and considerably cheaper, it also doesn’t have quite as salty a finish as this Berghoff does. Regardless, this is a fine beer that any fan of pilsners would enjoy. Jedsbrew (465), Rhineland, Missouri, USA Sep 20, 2004 Updated: Jan 7, 2005Medium gold color with a fair head and sparse lacing. Mild malty aroma, slight caramel and spice. Light to medium bodied, slightly sweet malty flavor, a hint of fruitiness with a faint hoppy note in the finish. Nice beer, easy drinking, but it’s curious that they would label this a pils as the similar Berghoff Original Lager is considerably hoppier-I think even Huber Premium may be hoppier. Yea whatever. dwyerpg (2174), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Feb 7, 2006 This is a pretty decent pilsener, though it pours suprisingly with almost no head. Just a little grainy, but nice. Actually one of Berghoff’s better beers. Darkover (1239), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jul 19, 2006 Clear yellow color with a white head. Aroma of corn and malt. Flavor of sweet malt. Very watery and drinkable. Braudog (3464), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Jul 16, 2004 Updated: Jan 14, 2005Golden and still with a thin veil. Malty sugar aroma. Tangily tart and sweet, but exceptionally crisp with a hint of lemon, but primarily a malty cerealy beer.
