12 oz bottle. I wasn’t expecting much (it’s very cheap for a bottled micro), and much I did not receive. Looks and smells like a macro lager, tastes marginally better. The odd thing about this beer is the sweet, doughy onset and the ghost of banana which lingers in the aftertaste. I do not characterize it as pleasant. Had no problems finishing my six pack with a big pizza, but without the food I think I’d have given up on it.

Jul 30, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a light golden yellow with a thin white head and alomst no lacing. Aroma is of malt and a little harsh. Flavor is grainy with a touch of hops, just enough to balance, and a metalic ting in the finish. Light body watery texture, and lively carb. A typical american pils, but better than the macros.

Jul 3, 2008 Eh, its just cheap wisconsin beer. Nothing wrong with it, a little watery but what would you expect. At least its not sweet, thats what kills stuff like this. Something refreshing when thirsty, and not much else. Cool bottle and tasty price saves this.

Jun 26, 2008 Bottle. Really like the shade of blue used on the label, enough to mention it. Macro nose, corn and grain, stale air. Pale, pale yellow pour with a noisy white head. Taste is bland with syrupy sweetness and a little metal, finish with a graininess edged by cantaloupe that makes me wonder about quality control. Corn and a touch of citus. Watery body. Yuck.
Oh, and...not a Pilsner.

Jun 2, 2008 This non-descript little pils from the folks at Minhas have made a very smooth, drinkable beer that challenges for more reknown pils around the world.
Once again, the elitest reviewers here have done a disservice in giving this such a low rating.

Apr 13, 2008 Pours a pale yellow with a quickly diminishing white head. Not much aroma. Taste is nominally corn and some sweet malt as well as some minor effort at hop bitterness. As others have said, this is macro quality. Final note: How in the hell is it possible for the same brewery that made Augsburger 25 years ago unable to do better than this?? Augsburger was probably the very best American regional lager in the history of the USA. Even if you drank it out of the bottle, it kept a faomy white head and old fashioned "beery" aroma and taste that is difficult to describe. RIP.
