2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap in terminal C. Pours a clear light amber color with a tan had. The smell is earthy malt, mild caramel, fruity hops. The taste is as it smells with some dryness at the end. Light+ body with slightly less than average carbonation level. A mediocre pale ale.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Location: Draft at the Berghoff, 6/2/14
Aroma: The nose has some light hop notes, citrus, and some malt hints as well
Appearance: It pours a clear golden-orange color with a small head
Flavor: The flavor is much the same, light and okay, decent hop flavor, light malt backing
Palate: The body is medium, leaning light, with an okay mouthfeel
There isn’t anything particularly wrong with this beer, it just isn’t too exciting. Okay beer, but not something I’d run (or even walk briskly) back for.

Draft in chicago airport. Poured a clear golden color. Fresh citrus floral hop aroma. Light caramel malts. Average carbonation. This is pretty good. Glad I found it.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Clean hop character without much excitement. Enjoyable enough though without any obvious flaws.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma is fruit/berries and earthiness. The flavor is fruit, mild sweetness and some bitterness in the finish. Too close to an EPA, better to classify it as one.

1.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear pale yellow with about a finger of white head. Aroma of straw, grains and corn with a little citrus. Taste is about the same. Light bodied with a thin texture. Fizzy carbonation and not much of a finish. Overall, just like every other Berghoff I’ve had, this beer is crap. I would call this a "Premium Lager" long before I called it an APA.

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Like a dim member of a party, this one is just barely enough to keep things going. It’s nothing fantastic, and the only flavor I could pick up on was a sort of metallic-apple-sweetness. Yet, I still wanted to finish my glass of it. If it were a song, it would be called [shoulders raised] "Beers that make ya go ’ehhh.’"

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
355ml bottle pours a pale amber color with a 2 finger white head that settled quickly but did reveal some thin spotty lacing. Aroma is light caramel and herbal hops. Taste is quite malty sweet with a mild herbal hop bitterness with a touch of citrus. Light to medium body with some decent carbonation. Just not enough body and hops to pass as a good pale ale, so I recommend a pass on this one.
