COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Berghoff Solstice Wit, named for the golden light of the longest day of the year, is a refined, Bavarian-style thirst-quencher. Made with the finest red wheat, 2-row malted barley, and the most sought-after American hops, this is a light, refreshing brew with subtle hints of Curacao orange and coriander. This was the first beer to feature the new Berghoff label design.

12 oz bottle - faint banana/clove aroma, golden, relatively clear appearance, off-white head that dissipates quickly, and a flavor that somehow seems to say "artificial flavors." It was $2.99 a sixer, once again proving you get what you pay for.

The beer pours with a cloudy yet quickly disappearing head. Not much aroma offered by the beer. Taste is light with a hint of orange. For the price, it works.

A pleasant surprise as a very drinkable bottled American version of a Belgian Wit. While Berghoff is one of the oldest beer brands in the U.S. (starting in Fort Wayne, Indiana and moving to the Chicago restaurant), the beers brewed under this label are often solid but not remarkable. Bottled it has good orange and spice and is tasty on a summer day.

The white head crowning the rich amber color stays longer than most Belgian style beers I’ve had. But this is more American than Belgium. The orange is hinted and not overpowering. Must be very cold. Nice on a hot day.
