Gurst (328), Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA Mar 30, 2005 Not my favorite witbier, but not terrible either. Has some very earthy, hearty tones, perfectly reflecting its home town’s atmosphere. Taste is of wheat, bitter greens, light spice, and maybe a hint of grapefruit. Body starts out feeling a little light, but ends a little fuller than you’d think.
jcr (911), Jasper, Indiana, USA Jan 7, 2009 Bottle. Pale, clear golden body with a short, fully diminishing head. Sweet aroma with notes of orange, grain (wheat), grass and coriander. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter with a moderately sweet finish that is lightly bitter and lightly acidic. Slight soapy taste. Medium body with a watery texture that turns syrupy. Moderate carbonation. Average at best. Would have a hard time drinking more than one of this sweet orange sticky concoction.
nuplastikk (578), Maryland, USA Nov 29, 2008 12oz bottle. Cloudy yellow-tan color. Minimal aroma, minimal taste. This is a pretty poor example of a Wit. Crisp mouthfeel, but very weak watery body with a sub par grain backbone. Straightforward and non-offensive at best, a disappointment. IlanMan (658), Winona, Minnesota, USA Oct 20, 2008 Very light pour with a light orange wheat aroma. Flavor is low but not bad. Just a little too much CO2 in this guy. Decent blend but just a bit of lack on the flavor. BeerBunker (250), Burbank, Illinois, USA Oct 18, 2008 Two six packs for $5? Sure, why the hell not...Pours a golden color with a fizzy head. Head dissipated before I even finished pouring. Lots of carbonation. Aroma is of citrus, spice, and straw. Taste was very bready, with hops, citrus fruit, and spice. Not overly amazing, but not offensive in anyway. Would drink it again if there was no alternative. HonkeyBra (614), Lemont, Illinois, USA Sep 20, 2008 One of the worst drainpours I’ve ever experienced. Fizzy pour of a liquid that is reminiscent of urine. Fake Tang-like orange aroma. Watery, fake orange flavor. Almost like a alka-seltzer.
