omhper (18954) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUL 9, 2008
Bottled at RBESG after session. Dark brown with siry head. Artificial cherry aroma. Sweet and artificial all the way. If it ever had porter characteristics it’s lon gone. Chemical and foul. Alcopop in disguise.

Kavu (1963) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 31, 2008
0,5l bottle. Very dark colour with some red and a nice strongish foam. The aroma has lots of cherry in it, but it doesn’t prepare you for the flavor which is only cherry and artificial sweetener. It was really hard to drink all of it. Quite horrible.

(Bottle on 2008-02-05) Some head. Dark colour with some hints of red. Cherries in nose. Way too sweet. Cherry flavour most certainly is from some flavour additive. Actually quite bad taste. No porter at all.

Bottle [Thanks to DSG] @ <a href=http://ratebeer.com/events-detail.asp?eventID target=_new> Zythos Bier Festival 2008, Sint Niklaas, Belgium. Clear medium amber color with a small, frothy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, berry - fruity, cherry, notes of licorice. Flavor is heavy sweet with a average to long duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (020308)

DSG (5022) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - APR 1, 2008
(3/2/08) Sample from a bottle (thanks to whoever brought this one) at the RB table at Zythos Bier Festival 2008 in Sint Niklaas. Amber color. A weird aroma with some cherry syrup and some artificial sweetener. Saccharine cherry flavor with hints of malt - really sweet. Light to medium body. Quite awful. Quite terrible and no hint of Porter character to be found.

Dark brown. Strong dry cherry aroma. Enormously sweet cherry taste. Sticky and unsubtle. Unsophisticated. Learner beer at best.

johndoughty (3716) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAR 8, 2008
Dark brown which disguises what you get. Cherry flavour overpowers any other tastes that may be there. Its bit like drinking a cross between Cherry B and Newcastle Brown. Please do not spend too much time thinking about this-life is too short!

Bottle at ZBF 08. Chestnut with beige head. Sweet children’s sweet cherry. Like cough drops. That is pretty awful.

CapedBrewsader (265) - Brasschaat, BELGIUM - MAR 7, 2008
ZBF 2008 Brought by someone who’s name I forget: Color of over-brewed tea. Dark drown with a tan head. An odd muddy malt profile. Fruit compote that seems to have been smoked. A bit of fruitcake with its associated spices. Slight dirty cherry. Flavor is of cherry cough drops dissolved into tea with a bunch of sugar. A little caramel, some medicinal herbs and the cherry extract all covered in sugar substitute.. quite hard to swallow.
