Bottle shared by ? at ZBF2008 by - thanks!
Dark brown. Strong dry cherry aroma. Enormously sweet cherry taste. Sticky and unsubtle. Unsophisticated. Learner beer at best.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark brown which disguises what you get. Cherry flavour overpowers any other tastes that may be there. Its bit like drinking a cross between Cherry B and Newcastle Brown. Please do not spend too much time thinking about this-life is too short!

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
Bottle at ZBF 08. Chestnut with beige head. Sweet children’s sweet cherry. Like cough drops. That is pretty awful.

1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
ZBF 2008 Brought by someone who’s name I forget: Color of over-brewed tea. Dark drown with a tan head. An odd muddy malt profile. Fruit compote that seems to have been smoked. A bit of fruitcake with its associated spices. Slight dirty cherry. Flavor is of cherry cough drops dissolved into tea with a bunch of sugar. A little caramel, some medicinal herbs and the cherry extract all covered in sugar substitute.. quite hard to swallow.

1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
bottle from friedrichstrasse railway station. sickly sweet, synthetic concoction that clearly hasn’t been within a mile of a cherry. dark brown, thick, syrupy, like flat cherry cola with added sugar. couldn’t finish the bottle. avoid like the plague

1.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
UPDATED: APR 5, 2008 Dark Coca-Cola brown, with no head left. Woodstripper, mossy woodbark, plywood. Like cherry-cola? (as Lola in the song)? THIS is it. Slick, cloying, noxious. UGHH! whomever brought this, faugh!

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: JUN 9, 2013 Bottle, 4.2%. Metallic sour cherry aroma. Dark brown colour, looks a lot like cola with a small head. The flavour is mostly cherry with some softdrink-like sweetness. Quite low carbonation. Pleasant enough, but not really beery. Late beer bitterness. Tastes like a dark sweetish beer with cherry cola.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Medium brown-beige head. Deep dark red body. Sweet yoghurty cherry aroma with earthy notes. Sweet earthy roasty cherry taste with yoghurty notes. Slightly artificial, and surprisingly dominated by the 10% cherry syrup, but not at all bad. (0.5l bottle from supermarket at the railway station, Leipzig.)

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours a clear, ruby-ish brown body with a small, beige head. Artificial cherry, almond and sweetish aromas and flavors. Quite sugary and sticky in the mouth. The cherry in the finish doesn’t feel as artificial as it does in the aroma and initial flavor. Sure not a favorite of mine, but quite good. And even though I’ve rated it way higher than the average Ratebeerian, I won’t buy it again. (071123)
