A Mes rate. Bottle at Borefts 10am day after hotel tasting.
Pretty much black with a thin off white head. Sweet cherry kids sweets on top of a strange chocolate driven porter. Very sweet indeed and I’m really struggling to find anything to say about it. Most of me hates it, but in a childish sugary type of way, part of me can’t help but like it.

To sweet and sticky, feels like somebody used the chemistrybox when they added the fruit

500 ml bottle. From Germany. HHOK blind tasting.
Dark reddish brown colour with tiny off-white head. Pure cherry aroma with some metallic hints. Flavour is SUGAR big time. Some cherries but mostly too sweet. Too sweet!

Porter and cherries are not made for each other. Look good though, dark brown, off-white head, lasting. Aroma has sweet notes of cherries. Flavor is heavy sweet. Syrupy texture.

Bottle shared by GrOve. A tiny ring of foam clinging to the glass. Clear, brownish-red body color. Cherry aroma, quite artificial actually. Notes of marzipan and almonds. Sweet, dominating cherry flavor, with an underlying sourness. Rather syrupy in the mouth. Sweet, sticky cherry ending. Not a favorite.
