2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
BOTTLE 50 CL from artemb. Bottled 23-FEB-2015 with a 45 days shelf life. The diacetyl knocks you down when you first smell it, not leaving room for much else. Thankfully, the taste is cleaner. Quite dry, with dark caramel, but enough roast and quote a bit of spicy hop bitterness to keep it in balance. The bitterness has a touch of astringency to it. When the beer warms up, the diacetyl fades away, bringing more noble aromas of dark sweetness and some roast. The taste also gets some dark chocolate. Not bad, if it wasn’t for the loads of diacetyl.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma has rye bread and unrefined sunflower oil.
Taste is sweet with light bitterness.
Too oily texture.
Flavours of rye bread with raw sunflower seeds, some burned coffee, very light hops.
Light sweeteness and roasted bitterness in the aftertaste.
If you remove all oil notes then this beer will become a decent schwarzbier.
