Not too, too bad.It has a nice fruity flavor to it. Not too fond of the 22oz. bottles, but I guess every BBC beer comes in a 22oz. bottle.

Transfer from BA review on 8-7-12- Poured from bomber into pint glass Appearance – Pours a wonderful deep amber color with a big off white colored head. The head has fantastic retention and retains its strength for quite some time but it eventually fades over time to give a decent amount of lacing. Smell – The aroma is on the lighter side with hints of roasted malt some caramel smells as well as some floral and citrus hop aroma. Taste – A sweeter bready malt flavor with hints dark fruit are the first to meet the tongue. As the taste moves on light hop flavor of a floral and very light citrus flavor come to the tongue. The beer seems to bitter more toward the middle with the advent of the hop, but then again seems to sweeten toward the end where flavors of a caramel nature meet the tongue Where a slightly bitter caramel and malty flavor is left on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side with the carbonation level being the same. Overall - A pretty good “not so” pale ale with nicer roasted grainy flavors. While it has god flavors it is nothing to really go out of the way for.

Growler. Pours amber with an off white head. Toffee malts, faint earthy and floral hops, light fruity notes, and a touch of bitterness in the finish. Not bad.

Reminds me of an English style pale ale, which I am not much a fan of. The hops are subdued and the malt comes forth more in a very sweet way. Not good. I can drink it, but for a pale ale not enjoyable at all.

Bottle shared at Sander’s in NYC. Pours clear, deep gold with a fine white cream head. Decent stuff, pretty basic. Lots of bready malts, some brown sugar, a bit of caramel, light bitterness. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, bready malts, some toasty doughy bread. Easy.

the simple goodness of a pale ale. A full growler enjoyed. Dark amber color. Aroma is very light flower hope with some buttery sweet malt behind it. Toast with caramel taste and mild bitterness. Really the kind of beer they would love in Deerfield and the Berkshires.

My bottle is 3 months past the best by date so I assume this is skewing the beer’s qualities a little. Strongest notes of caramel and sweet bread. Decent amount of carbonation and thin mouthfeel. A good beer that doesn’t jump out in any way.

Bomber from Whole Foods Market Darien. Pours a hazy amber color with a thin frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of citrus, floral, tropical hops and very faint pale malts. The taste is citrus hops and toasted caramel malts. Medium bodied. Solid.
