The aroma is off a bit, caramel, brown sugar, chocolate, grains, some vegetable. The appearance is a deep yet translucent amber, off-white head. The flavor is caramel, sugary, some rotting food/vegetable thing, some butter. I wonder if there’s an infection afoot. The finish is even odder: upfront it’s really sweet, moves into a mild resiny hop bittering. Medium in body. Strange beer. Not good. I hope I’m not being unfair to it. I’ll have to rerate it if i come across it again.

22oz bottle. Usually overlooked BBC offering next to the popularity of the SRA. Pours a nice darker golden hue decent head and lacing. Nothing really sticking out to make this one great, basic malty nose, slight caramel and citrus, but its mild. Palate is much of the same, slight bitterness up front, but bland through the mid and a dry finish. Good, not great everyday offering.

Amber color, with a medium-sized head. Medium bitterness, with some nuttiness and caramel notes. Not bad.

Light resin hop aroma. Hazy orange color with a small tan head. Light bitter beginning that fades in the finish. Palate is mildly creamy in the end.

growler-Small Gathering @my place-pours a retaining tight light tan head and copper/red color. Aroma is soft biscuit/bread-light/medium malt, secondary earthy/slight pine/resin hops. Taste is sweet light/medium malt-biscuit/bread/caramel, secondary spice/pine/resin hops with some bite, bark. Grainy mouth feel. Good carbonation.

(Rating #3697)

Draft at Cambridge Commons. Nothing pale about this puppy. Clear amber color, thick beige head, solid lacing. Aroma and taste of butterscotch, nutmeg, chicory. Some residual sugar. Decent.

Groler shared by jcwattsrugger, thanks John. Poured a very slight hazy brown body with a great full creamy light beige head . Aroma has some grassy hops, fruity notes and hints of chocolate malts. Great body that by no means seems like it came from a growler, slightly fuller bodied with average carbonation. Flavor of light chocolate, fruity yeast, grains, grass and a lingering chocolate malt. Solid but sessionable.
