thejon375 (79), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 5, 2008 Confused a little by the name "Pale Ale" This coppery brew was a little stronger in flavor than a traditional pale ale. Flavorful but a little too bitter for what I was expecting. Visited my girlfriends dad in Mass and came across the Berkshire line of beers and was pretty impressed. Liked the 22oz bottles for the price excellent deal. beachbum25 (583), Powellville, Maryland, USA May 10, 2008 750 ML Bottle-clear copper color w/a decent off white head & good lacing. Trade w/RCL. Not normally my favorite style; found this one too hoppy w/a metalic flavor. Kind of out of balance to me. Thought I’d give it a shot as it was a trade brew, For those who like this style this would be a good choice, but it’s just not my thing. changeup45 (530), Orlando, Florida, USA Apr 10, 2008 The first ot two different growlers to sample from the brewery. Pours a somewhat cloudy, brownish amber body. Nice thick off white head. Aroma is sweet with a sugary maltiness to it. A pretty nice taste. Sweet with a pretty nice hoppy characteristic with small amounts of malt too. A little sour aftertaste and there is just something missing from the mouthfeel. Nonetheless, a very enjoyable beer and I would definitely get it again. cheapdark (1529), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 24, 2008 I was introduced to this Berkshire Company thru a atrade with RCL. Like Erie, they have have really cool things going on there. This beer is from a 22 oz bomber. Big swirling gunk on the bottom pour in a cloudy iced tea appearance. Very fresh and sweet aroma of mild fruity or floral hops. Big fuzzy, nearly IPA taste impact. Typical ale-ish, almost rude, fer sure. Not an insult to the beer called ale. Preservative finish on the back of the palate near the place where the throat begins. Hey, RCL, this is what my last package smelled like! Hey Ray heheheh. Better than an APA IMHO if you are a hop lover. These bottled conditioned beers from Berkshire are so fresh! sliffy (1930), Columbus, Ohio, USA Feb 14, 2008 Bottle shared by ogglethorp: Pours a cloudy copper color with a light tan head. Aroma, floral hops, pale malts, some grapefruit. Flavor, citrus and floral hops pale malts in the background some sweetness, and some fruits. Good stuff.
