2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
A slightly cloudy medium brown body. A fast fading off white head, no retention. A fruity aroma seemed to dominate the aroma. Flavor was too fruity too. Some caramel malts but not enough to balance out the fruity flavor. May have been a bad bottle.

Draught. This is a boring old EPA without out much to make it worth the up pricing from a macro.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: MAY 14, 2013 One of the pleasures of visiting western Mass. is being able to drink a few BBC releases. Cabin Fever has a somewhat complex aroma - sharp and metallic, with some sweet, funky hop notes too. It tastes smooth, malty, and on the sweet side, a biscuit-like flavor to it, with a noticeable German and English influence, like the description says. Good stuff.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Aroma is claimed to be fairly exotic, but to me it just smells like caramel malt and mild hopping. Clear amber color. Semi-sweet pale ale like flavor for the most part, but yeah there is some funky eurohop thing going as well. Very smooth and refreshing, which is not expected from initial impressions. Sort an answer to an unasked question.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a clear garnet tinged amber with a thin white head. A bit of plum and sweet malt on the nose, toast, caramel. Medium bodied, malty and toasty. Not a ton going on but I don’t think there’s supposed to be. Easy drinking, inoffensive. Unremarkable in any great or terrible ways, just a middle of the road easy drinking beer. Tasty enough.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22oz. bottle purchased at Julio’s liquors. Best before 06/06/2013. Color is amber with a thin white head. Nose is the Berkshire house yeast with light caramel malt. The taste was lightly sweet and featured a mixture of caramel and a bit of bitter hops. German or European hops is what it reminds me of. Lighter side of medium in body. Decent brew.

On tap in a plastic cup. Pours amber with a light beige head. Aroma of caramel and a little toffee from the malts plus some dough and floral hops. Flavor the same. Average texture. A decent amber ale.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap pours orange copper with little of white head. The aroma is light of toasted grain, mostly bready. The flavor is smooth grain and earthy German hops with a light fruity green apple crisp drying finish. Not bad, mostly simple.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle split with hobbie100. Thanks Richard!
A: Orange-brown hue with a medium-sized head that leaves a lot of lacing on the glass.
S: Fruits, spices, malt.
T: This was my favorite of the five Berkshire Brewing beers I had the opportunity to try recently. It was the most complex and interesting, and of course had the best flavor. Spices are integrated nicely into the overall flavor of the beer, with no artificial tasting fake flavors. I have had many winter warmer beers that I found less than pleasant. This was a pleasant surprise.
M: Medium body, good feel.
D: A solid beer. I’d definitely drink it again.
