Volgon (2463), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Mar 18, 2002 Smooth, sweet and heavy coffee flavors. One of the creamiest beers out of a bottle. BennyTicklez (621), USA Sep 1, 2005 Pours deep dark brown with a big tan head. Subtle aroma of coffee and milk?. Taste is coffee, roasted notes, slight hops. Very full, creamy mouthfeel. Coffee is present for sure, but not over the top. Well balanced. Awesome and underrated. emerica56 (515), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Oct 11, 2007 This beer pours a dark nut brown color with a thick head with rather large bubbles. It has an intence aroma of burnt coffee beans and toffee. As you drink it there is a nice smooth roasted malt and coffee flavor on the tip of your tounge. The more you drink it there is nice hints of toffee and mild chocolate malt that stays on the back of your palate for quite some time. Ungstrup (11930), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 5, 2005 [Cask at GBBF 2004] A black beer with a brown head. Both the aroma and flavor are roasted with strong notes of coffee and chocolate. UnionMade (621), Connecticut, USA Dec 24, 2002 This is a very nice porter. Very strong coffee flavor, with rich roasty caramel maltiness, and a hoppy tang bringing up the rear. I highly recommend this.
