If youíre looking for a beer with the body of beer, this isnít what you want. If youíre looking for a beer thatís practically an alcoholic iced coffee, this is it! It has the taste of a nice espresso with an earthy, caramel flavor and the body of an iced latte. Really great paired with desserts like vanilla ice cream or a spiced apple pie.

if you were to eat out a coffee bean, while getting a foot rub and asian school girls fanned you with giant leaves than you would get what this beer is like. This is the beeís knees, the cream of the crop, the tits.

Poured from the a bomber into a pint glass. The color is a dark black with a foamy white head that leaves a lacing on the glass. The smell is a big coffee bean aroma. Just like D & D coffee. The taste is bit bitter, with malt, strong again with the good flavored coffee bean taste. It is very silky smooth going down. This beer has a taste that is a bit creamy and a big sugary. It surprised me just how good a porter could be. A good local brew that I will pass on to others.

UPDATED: APR 16, 2011 Brownish black pour. Smells like Columbian coffee. Decadent roasted coffee flavor. One of my personal favorite coffee stouts. Rated 10/13/04 Post rating note: Iíve had batches of this beer that are much sweeter. Iím not sure if it is a recipe change or unintentional. Post rating note 2: Iíve had other bottles that were clearly infected and drain pours. Really inconsistent. I need to re-rate.

Pours pitch black with faint hints of ruby on the edges and a large, fluffy tan head. Smells strongly of coffee and roastedness. Tastes strongly of coffee and roasty bitterness with a touch of chocolate sweetness underneath, but it is not very prevalent. Medium-bodied with a smooth, silky texture, and soft mouth-carbonation, Berkshire Coffeehouse Porter finishes with a pleasant soft bitterness.

Smooth, sweet and heavy coffee flavors. One of the creamiest beers out of a bottle.

Great brew. Had some from a bottle at PJís (JPís?) Pub in Burlington. Pours a dark and lovely pure black with a fluffy brown head. Notes smack of roasted malts and fresh brewed coffee. Flavor is rife with cofee notes, along with hints of chocolate and a strong malt character. Very smooth and filling. Delicious.

12 oz pour into a pint glass. On nitro tap at a local bar. A - Cascading effect typical of nitrogenated beers. Dark brown body with a fluffy two finger light mocha head with very tight bubbling. Dies down to about one finger but lasts the entire beer. Lacing and retention is crazy. S - Really fresh coffee aroma followed by some lightly roasted caramel malts. Finish is of bitter beans and hops. T - Similar to the nose. Lots of sweet roasted coffee beans and bready caramel malts. Finish is almost similar to an IPA, bitter beans and piney hops. Very well balanced and delicious. Mouth feel is creamy and silky while still remaining light and easy drinking. O - Probably my favorite local beer, made even better by the nitrogen tap. Really well balanced and fresh tasting coffee porter at an awesome value. 22 oz bombers sell for under $4.

Dessert. Near black pour. Aroma is Smokey coffee and chocolate. Taste is creamy chocolate and a little less coffee. Great stuff

I nice light coffee flavor to lovely, not too malty porter. Perfect colour, a little light on the nose but makes up for it in the complex overall flavor.
