COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This American version of a traditional Bohemian Pilsner is a true lager, brewed to emulate the original style born in Plzen, Czechoslovakia. Berkshire uses authentic Pilsner floor malt from the Czech Republic in this classic beer. Light in color, our Pilsner is dry and crisp, and pungently hopped with Czech Saaz hops to impart a rich aroma, with a subtle bitterness to the finish.

light body, medium bitterness, golden, clear, frothy, white foam, bread, spruce, The Saaz hops come though in the nose but not overwhelming as in an IPA. The light maltiness is followed by the hops bitterness at the end in a nice balance. The bitterness lingers in the aftertaste, a reminder of how good this beer is.

Pours copper/gold with a thick white head. Smells of saaz hops, crisp, dry pilsner malt, touches of apple. Tastes of dry malt, some spicy hints and some residual sweetness on the finish.

Bottle at Sander’s place, NYC. Pours clear gold with a frothy, white head. Sweet biscuity malts in the nose with light notes of straw. Medium sweet flavor, some nice doughy bread, light bitter straw, some white sugar. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Pretty clean finish, more sweet, white bread malts, mild bitterness. Not too complex. Very easy.

Had on tap at Eastside a year before it appeared in bottle. Nice lighter golden hue, white head. Clean aromas, a bit bready, but not much else. Hits the spot in the summertime, very crisp entry with the mid and finish having a decent hop presence. Nice shot at a Czech pils, I’m not much of a pils guy, but does the job.

If you like Budweiser you’ll love this. Tastes like a full flavored american corn lager.

Served chilled in a 22 ounce bottle A nice almost clear yellow body with a white head that had little retention and almost no lace. Aroma had some nice bread like malt notes and some grassy notes. Flavor was crisp and clean, hops had a little more punch to it than the aroma indicated, still light. A nice crisp finish. Maybe if it wasn’t so cold i would have been nice, some of the subtle flavors were gone.

22 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a moderate white head that lasted through the first two sips and left very light lace. The aroma is weak malt along with some restrained grassy hops. The flavor is malt followed by some grassy hops with some mild-moderate bitterness. Ever-so-slightly sweet. A nice bready flavor emerges in the aftertaste. Crisp at the finish and spot on for the style. Good stuff.

This beer is grassy hoppy, yet smooth tasting. It leaves you craving for another sip. The malt flavors are tingling, yet sweet and easily drinkable. It is the perfect flavor, with a nice dry finish. I am from the local area, and every Berkshire beer I have tried is better than average if not on the verge of greatness.
