A Full bodied dark Ale with pleasant chocolate/roasted malt flavor with a slight malty sweetness that is balanced with a delicate hop bitterness, flavor and aroma. A smooth and memorable taste experience.

Another brew from the Pioneer Valley here in Western Massachusetts. There must be a dozen breweries in the valley now, as the Connecticut River meanders from the Vermont/New Hampshire border south to the sea. Berkshire is one of the oldest of these breweries. Draymanís is, as many have pointed out, not an outstanding porter, yet a decent, palatable brew. Tastes mildly of coffee and chocolate, lightly malty and hoppy just a tad. Next time I want a porter, this one will do nicely.

On tap at Unoís, Shelbourne, VT. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a dark brown color with a slim bar pourís kind of head that dissipated within less than thirty seconds leaving some light stringy lacing sliding into the beer. The smell had a super hefty amount of bitter coffee beans and balanced with a decent sweet molasses - esque, perhaps syrupy sort of dark fruits. The taste took the bitter coffee and it came across fairly roasty. A semi-wet yet dark fruity aftertaste leads to a dry finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was somewhat subdued but still good for the style and for me. Overall, I say this was a pretty good coffee porter.

Draft in a 20oz plastic cup during Mike Gordon Band at Mass Moca 4/5/14. Full charcoal black with some brown shades. Minimal and faint head, bubbles of brown cream and solid carbination. Aroma is earthy, heavy malt based roasted flavour. Deep dry chocolate tones, sweet roasty and enjoyable on the pallate, a bit dry going down, as the name suggest, and mild in the aftertaste of coco, molasses and brown sugar. Smooth and easy drinker, fun for the masses if the masses will choose the porter over the steal rail. This is a working mans beer, sort of.

Smooth drinking coffee-esqe porter. Pours with small head and almost no carbonation. Slightly bitter and an easy after taste. Recommend pairing with a rib eye cooked medium rare.
