3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22 oz. bottle from Ryan and Casey Liquors. Very pale amber in color with little head retention. Nose is sweet malt with grassy hops. Flavor is a balanced with bread malt and light Earthy, grassy hops. Light bitterness lingers very slightly after the sip. Body is light and texture is oily. Overall a plain but well-made EPA.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz Bottle, purchased in Shelburne Fallse, MA. Mellow grass and hay aroma, hinted with honeyed malt and walnut. Toasted flavors stay subtle and mingle with zesty currant and blackberry notes that seem to be emerging from the gentle but present hoppiness of this brew. It has a slight green, homegrown hop edge, but feels very fresh and green overall. The alcohols get a little warm for a pale ale, but otherwise this is flavor, nuanced and quite workable.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
I’ll start this review off by saying that this beer is not fresh. Looking up articles online it appears this was brewed back in September. I remember seeing this in Table & Vine months ago, and now it just popped up in a local store. I love how BBC brews a lot of beers for local charities so I figured I’d chance it. 22 oz bomber into a SA perfect pint glass.
A - Dark yellow/light golden body. Very clear with lots of present carbonation. Soapy 3 finger heads settles down to edging and splotchy patches.
S - Hops have faded a bit, but I do detect some piney hops that are so typical of BBC. Very English in style with smooth caramel and biscuity malts being the dominant aroma here.
T - Matches the aroma. A slight hint towards piney hops followed by caramel, toffee, and biscuits. Very sooth and mellow with a pleasant finish. Mouth feel is light to medium with a nice level of carbonation.
O - BBC is one of the few breweries who I think can get away with an older IPA. Their beers always seem to have a tame hop profile, but an excellent malty backbone. Chewy and caramel and toffee rich, this beer still had some life left in it.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
A new BBC, must try. Color was a hazy amber and the aroma is light grassy and earthiness. Taste is subetle bitter and mineral water. Light and freshing, unremarkable but has the fresh palate that keeps me coming back to BBC

Pour deep, clear gold into a Sam glass. White head with excellent retention. Sweet toffee aromas. Dry with front to back caramel and smoky hay. Lasting bitter earth finish.
