The ’08 bottle, I think, shared by Mike. Pours a hazy orange. Arouma is soy, raisings and caramel. Mouthfeel is fizzy. finishes with some astringent bitterness and some warm alcohol. Decent but I wasn’t hugely impressed.

Bottle courtesy of Mike at Paul’s tasting. Pours a hazy brown with a thin white head. Sweet, spice and caramel. On the thin side of medium, really oxidized caramel and old malt. Finishes sweet and with more oxidized malt.

Bomber shared by J12601 I think. Pours a deep copper- mostly clear with a thin head. Aroma is toffee, syrupy sweet brown sugar, and honey, molasses, sharp crystal- just a lot of malt sweetness, some earth and very light spice and phenol - moderate fruity esters as it warms. Flavor is more phenolics, with solvent esters, brown sugar, molasses toffee, lots of crystal malts sweetness but thins out gets a bit hot and finishes with a slight astringency.

Rich fruity aroma with influences of figs, caramel, cereal and rye. Dark copper pour, filmy head and full lacing. Medium bodied, drinkable and enjoyable. Toasty, roasted malts o’ plenty with sweetened cereal and dark fruit flavors.

Bottle:   Deep amber, nearly brown, large light beige foamy head, decent lacing.   Faint citrus rind, caramel, biscuit, and nuts on the nose.   Has a spiciness to it on the tongue.   Tangy citrus zest comes and goes quickly.   Decent malt base, slight sweetness.   Very little hop bitterness.   Moderate body. Had it been maltier it would have felt a bit thicker.   Warming but not alcoholic.   Lingering spiciness.   This one was a nice change from the overly hopped examples.
