[ 2009 ]. Clear medium amber color with a small, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, very weak aroma. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration, overripped fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100522]

Bottled. A dark amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, alcohol, and some spices.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of gn0sis. Pours an almost clear amber with a smallish off-white head. The nose is fruity with a little perfumy hops. Medium body, fairly sweet fruitiness, caramel and some perfumy hops leaving a decent bitterness. Decent if not exactly a huge Barley Wine. 180311

Sweet aroma of caramel and dried fruits with notes of alcohol.
Sweet flavour of caramel, dried fruits, liquorice and alcohol with notes of hops.
Sweet and warming alcoholic finish.

Bottle (2010) at Papsø’s - Thanks. Clear amber - white head. Sweetness, toasted, caramel, barley, light wooden, ok hoppy, barried, light roasted, ok hoppy. Nice.

Bottle at ChrisOs ’Blue Ridge Mountains Of Virginia’ tasting. 2009 vintage. Amber, slight haze, decent fruity barley wine. Lovely strawberry. Really full and fruity hides alcohol well. My type of barley wine, loved the strawberry notes.
