COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A dark rich creamy ale. This is our version of this classic stout style. With its dense black color and velvety texture, our stout's flavor hints of chocolate liquorice and coffee. This ale is truly a meal in a glass.

Bottle from western Massachusetts gas station. Pours black with a thin khaki head. Leaves a lot of lacing in the glass. Has a bit of roasted malt on the nose. Fairly smooth on the tongue with a slight hint of sweetness. Hides it’s alcohol well though at 8.5 it’s kind of on the thin end for the style. Its quaffable and drinkable but not particularly memorable.

Nice flavor, very dark and rich, says chocolate and coffee and I can taste them in there. Rich and flavorful with a taste like "a meal in a bottle" ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours black with a thick, creamy, tan head that stays long. Thick, sticky lacing. Nose is roasted grain with notes of chocolate. Taste is on the sweet side up front, but there’s a very nice dark-chocolate bitterness after. Lingers long. Full body. Moderate carbonation. Very nice brew.

Dark brown-black body, thin tan head, spotty lacing. Light roast, bittersweet chocolate, some coffee, caramel, and earth. Medium bodied with smooth carbonation, semi-dry throughout, clean finish. Well-balanced.

"Russian Imperial Stout" Bottle from Table and Vine. Near black with lasting brown head and lace. Earthy dark chocolate ashy aroma with hints of booze and fruit. Sweet and fruity with dark chocolate some roasted coffee and raisin fruitiness. Medium earthy ashy roasted bitterness. Medium full body. Somehow not really rich, more fruity and herbal. Decent enough but not up there with the champions of the style.

22oz bottle pours dark oily black brown with 2 finger offwhite head. Nose is rich dark bitter cocoa and licorice, some vanilla. Taste is semi sweet, pretty good mouthfeel, some sweet vanilla, licorice spice, dark dusty bitter burnt chocolate, some charred coffee. Finish is bitter with some sweet vanilla and earthy cocoa and coffee bean.

pour is dark brown with a light tan head. Nose is sweet, magic marker, chocolate, uneaten sugar, stale grain. Taste is overly sweet and lacks malt complexity. Some chocolate, lots of sugar, brown sugar, caramel, thinner body and moderate carbonation.
