COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A medium bodied India Pale Ale, dry hopped to provide a very pleasing flora, citrus aroma. Well balanced between malty sweetness and hop bitterness. A very thirst quenching IPA.

Sampled in a bomber on Marthaís Vineyard. A nice summer beer. Not over powering but refreshing.

Actually liked this better by bottle than on tap. Unusual as it is I was comparing it with the Rotator Series Falconer IPA today and it paled in comparison and that is the best way to say it. Appearance: 4.5 out of 5.00 Beautiful unfiltered appearance. Orange / Copper color... Golden hue. Smell: Aroma of light citrus.. Taste: Not as hoppy as I would have expected. Very low bitterness for an IPA. Malty and frothy on the front with limited IPA taste more of a golden ale. Not hoppy. No alcohol bite. Maybe the English in English IPA comes from the breadiness of this ale. Mouthfeel: Suprisingly dry. Does not have peppery or hoppy mouthfeel more of a sweetness which almost tastes skunked... Overall: No major flaws but not the best of BBC. Its adequate and I would rate it well as Berkshire has not done me wrong in the past but this is not their finest product..

Bomber from Whole Foods Market Darien, CT. Pours a hazy orange color with a large frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of citrus and floral hops, a faint bit of resin, and toasted, almost nutty malts. The taste is toasted malts, graham crackers, citrus hops, apples. Medium bodied. Decent.

Kegs and bottles. I remember freshman year when this was the "special" BBC beer that you rarely saw At parties ícause it was a little more pricey than their reg lineup. When I drink it these days, I think about how much I didnít really care what I was injecting beerwise, as long as it wasnít any kinda BMC product. Not that this particular beer is bad, itís far from it, but the level it was held to in those early craft beer explorations seems superficial these days. So it goes. Always have a special place in my heart (and liver) for BBC.

Bottled shared by hobbie100. Thanks Richard! A: Clear and orange, with a half inch of head that leaves a fair amount of lacing around the glass. S: Hops and various spices T: Refreshing and clean. This is a quality IPA, though I prefer an IPA to have a bolder hop presence. The spices I noted in the aroma are subtle in the taste, which is good (East Kent Goldings Iíve been told). The beer is slightly bitter, most noticeably in the finish. M: Good feel. The spicy hop aspect is especially noticeable in the aftertaste. There is a nice, lingering bitter finish that Iím enjoying. D: Easy to drink, low abv, simple. Good stuff.

cask: nice cask pull with fairly thick head with lacing and soft mouthfeel. Creamy. Somewhat weakly hopped for even an english IPA, leaving it just slightly sweeter than i would have liked. Still, nice on cask.

Bottle at home in the CT, USA. Pours clear gold with a dense, frothy white cream head. Quite effervescent. Tropical fruits and dough in the nose. Medium sweet flavor, bready, with sweet and juicy fruits, subtle wood and yeast, and faint, dry grass. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Fairly dry to finish, with lightly toasted hay and dough, pithy citrus, mild grass, with perhaps some touches of orange marmalade. A very nice beer overall.

This is what an IPA should taste like. Nice aroma, not overpowering. Lovely dry taste with a great IPA finish that isnít so hoppy and dry that is sucks the moisture out of your mouth
