anthlovesbeer (67), north grafton, Massachusetts, USA May 5, 2008 A very drinkable IPA. A well balanced hop and citrus flavor is very enjoyable. A great IPA to enjoy at room temperature. Try it! VENOM (941), Connecticut, USA Nov 28, 2002 Slightly hazy ochre. Sticky, caulk like cream head. Minimal carbonation. Grapefruit hops, peaches, grapes and pine in the aroma with wisps of sugar. Bracing, bold and hoppy with loads of English, earthy hops and a touch of grapefruit. Bitter and thick with a lasting aftertaste. Wisp of butterscotch as well. Licorice and pine sap smack your palate now and then in the middle. Medium thick body. Light Crystal sweetness. Peachy fruit aspect builds as it warms. Finishes firmly fruity, with notable pine notes and a sugared flower aspect and kick of alcohol. Great effort. Eyedrinkale (3163), Beer Town, New York, USA May 20, 2004 Cloudy copper color with a thick white head. Sweet apricot floral aroma. Taste was a nice hoppy bitter, full bodied and creamy smooth. A better rendition of an East Coast IPA. kane (111), USA Jan 13, 2005 Excellent beer. A woodsy citrus aroma, hazy amber color. Traditional east coast IPA taste, good body and well balanced. boojummy (50), Medford, Massachusetts, USA Apr 23, 2006 I’ve been a BBC fan for a long time, and this one doesn’t disappoint. Their beers always taste very fresh to me. This was from a 22 oz bottle I picked up at the local package store. Poured a hazy, somewhat murky, orange-tan. Lots of suspended yeast. Generous aromatic and bitter head. Citrusy and grassy aroma that makes me wonder if they’re using Cascade hops in this. Flavor was surprising-- there’s at least one other non-Cascade hop in there for a nicely-rounded bitterness. Not too malty, and there’s a bit of a tea flavor going too. This is a great, drinkable beer. I’ll definitely be picking up a keg for my next party.
