skibumphishead (175), USA Jul 18, 2007 growler for a dinner party. The aroma is grassy hops. The taste is very sweet with weak orange flavored hops present. This is a heavy and sweet IPA but it is still very drinkable. Don’t expect a hop bomb, this is a sugary British style IPA. not bad
dchmela (907), Orlando, Florida, USA Dec 31, 2008 22oz bomber. Pours a nice amber color with a thick white head. Good citrus hop aroma, very floral, yet not insane. Nice hop bitterness taste with a citrus twang to it. Tasty IPA. emerica56 (515), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Sep 3, 2008 Had this on tap at the pub in providence. It pours a thick off white head and from the look of it, it had a cloudy orange yellow color. But the lighting in the bar itself was not that bright. But the nose was very floral and had some nice citrus in the aroma as well. The initial flavor was nice and bitter leaving a lasting impression on your palate. You can really taste the orange peel and citrus hops that were used. Overall it has an enjoyable flavor and a refreshing after taste. PhatB420 (63), Pittsfield, Massachusetts, USA Aug 31, 2008 A solid IPA, but as with many other BBC beers I was looking for a gold medal here and did not get it. This is a low silver/high bronze for me. I would almost pefer a Harpoon IPA over this, but the craft is still impressive. DrDavid (673), Johnson, Vermont, USA Aug 25, 2008 (Bottle). Aroma is aggressively of oranges. Color, likewise is orange, with a moderate white head. Flavor is mild for an IPA, and less hoppy bitter, but certainly pleasing, and yes, dominated by tangy oranges. Enjoyable and different. Lubiere (3524), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Aug 19, 2008 A golden ale with a thin white head. A light caramel malt, with very herbal hops, light Belgian ale notes. In mouth, a crisp malt with pungent hops, light caramel, slight signs of oxidation. Medium bodied. Tasted around Jan 2007.
