A refreshing light in color lager, with a pleasant malty sweetness and delicate hop finish, made with real German hops and yeast.

I have been on recent maibock kick so although it has slipped into June I’m enjoying this as my long weekend begins. Hazes amber pour with nose of dry hops and caramel. Tastes of faint dusty hops, caramel, toasted malt, vanilla, touch floral, and cherry. Fine medium palate. Fresh tasting and nice.

Pours a dark golden color with a white head. Aroma is sweet malt. Flavor hints at caramel with a sweet alcohol finish.

Copper-orange pour. Aroma is smoky-sweet with notes of citrus, fruit and vanilla. Flavor is caramel, toffee, nuts, dates, and fruit.

Deep gold, almost amber color. Aroma is mostly sweet bready malt. Also possibly butterscotch? Taste is sweet-ish with this weird mediciny after taste. Didn’t quite care for it

Sugary malt and light grass aroma. Golden yellow color. Candied sweet flavor, a bit overbearing in this regard. Soft, coating body. Something of a yawner.

Berkshire Maibock pours a beautiful burnt gold with a fizzy white head. Caramel, sweet candy sugar, toffee, and sweet malts fill the nose. Caramel, sweet candy sugar and sweet malts pretty much wrap up the flavor as well. The finish remains true to the nose and flavor. Sweet malts linger on the palate. Berkshire Maibock has a light-medium tongue weight, coupled with medium-high carbonation. This is a fine Spring/Summer brew. Overall, this is an easy drinking beer that caters to a sweet tooth. Although, not overly sweet, it will make a sweet beer lover smile. This is a nice beer

22oz Bottle, purchased at Pier Liquors - Narragansett, RI. Creamy, honeyed sweet malt aroma. Nice and clean. Fresh, sparkly bright and lively grain sugars, light munich malt, and a bit of oatmeal. I’m really growing to appreciate the freshness of Berkshire beers. So many beers these days are filtered and hot shipper all over the place. Berkshire’s recipes may not be inventive and some of their styles are little weak, but the freshness more than makes up for it in a lot of instances. Ends bready and bright, with lots of minerals and distant honey water.

Draft from Coalhouse Pizza, Stamford, CT. This beer has a sweet profile with bready notes and flavor from the malts. Medium bodied but very drinkable.

Poured from bottle. Poured a pleasant deep orange with a nice 2-finger off-white head. Minimal lacing. Aroma was a little disappointing. Very malty and grainy. Taste is malty with a strong alcohol burn. I was very surprised by the overwhelming taste of alcohol for the style. Beer was nicely carbonated and felt good going down. Malty after taste was long-lasting with a slight hint of bitterness at the tale end.

On tap at a local restaurant, 23 oz pour into a tall pilsner glass for a reasonable $6. A - Dark amber body. Small white head forms but disappears all together after a bit. Swirling doesn’t yield much action. S - Bready caramel malts, light spices, honey, and a touch of herbal grassiness. Alcohol is surprisingly present. T - Very similar to the nose. Bready malts, caramel, toffee, floral hops and a lingering honey sweetness. The alcohol makes it self present in the finish. Medium and lightly creamy mouth feel. O - Not BBC’s best effort. It has some decent flavors and I really enjoy the honey sweetness, but I found the alcohol to be a bit overwhelming for a spring seasonal.
