3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 hellbilly (3249) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - JUL 29, 2008
pours a beautiful clear coppery amber with a soft off white head which deposits some drippy lacing. the aroma is fruity/golden raisins, malty grain, grass, faint skunk and a touch of alcohol. the palate is a touch sweet but it does dry out quite well. the flavor is similar to the aroma... light grainy, apple-ish, a hint of cocoa and mildly bitter slightly dry finish. alcohol is slightly noticeable. medium to full body. smooth texture with some acidity and prickly carbonation.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 TheGent (614) - , Massachusetts, USA - JUL 1, 2008
A Brewery that makes some very drinkable offerings. This one if fairly nice with some malty yeast and light hops. But as I drank it I noticed some alcohol taste which strangly did not decrese how drinkable it was. Plus the price is always right with this beer so you could put back two or three of them and not hurt your wallet.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 RCL (2029) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 15, 2008
Dark gold pour. Not a whole lot going on, just some straw and honey flavors, fairly sweet without being cloying. Pretty good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 porterhouse (1581) - Boothbay Harbor, Maine, USA - MAY 24, 2008
UPDATED: MAY 25, 2013 (22 oz. bottle from <A HREF=http://www.ratebeer.com/Place/massachusetts/w target=blank>Julio’s Liquors) Pours lightly hazy amber-gold with a tall biscuit head that recedes to about 1/4" and stays. Aroma of vanilla ice cream and a bit of hops. Mouthfeel smooth, light-medium full, a tiny bit prickly. Droopy, weepy rings of lacing. Flavor of fairly light caramel and vanilla maltiness, bit of pine and light alcohol booziness. Carries a medium-bitter pinch through finish. Slight bit of a rotten-eggy quality on back end. Flavor profile seems a little confused but still a pretty decent attempt at the style. UPDATE: 5/25/13 Draft @ Jacob Wirth - Better than I remembered - it’s nice and malty sweet - honey and light licorice - tiniest of hoppy bites in the finish. Number rating represents average of old and new scores.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 mcox90 (1285) - Wilton, New Hampshire, USA - APR 26, 2008
22 oz bottle. Pours a coppery amber color with a 1/2" off white head. Minimal lacing. Sweet nose with caramel & malt notes. Mouthfeel was thick and chewy. Flavor was again, caramel with some honey. It is a sweet beer, but not cloyingly so. Really enjoyed it. It was a gift from my daughter, but I don’t believe it is overly expensive.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 beerbill (3047) - Laurel, New York, USA - JUL 2, 2007
22 oz. bottle. Pours a nearly clear medium gold with a moderate, creamy white head. Pleasant aroma of caramel along with some light breadiness. Flavor is again caramel with some breadiness. No hops to speak of. A bit of whole grain alcohol flavor at the finish which I didn’t particularly care for. Not something I would go back to again.
