22oz bottle acquired in trade with ppoitras (thanks!). This happens to be my 100th Brown Ale rating. Poured light brown, almost a deeper orange color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, chocolate and nuts. Tastes of caramel, chocoalte, nuts and had a sugary sweetness as well.. Thinner body. Although this had the typical Brown Ale profile, I found the tastes and aromas didn’t really mesh together well. It was as if they were each fighting each other and and definitely did not blend.

22oz bottle. Pours brown with a small tan head. Smells fruity with some raisin and nut notes. Taste is on the sweeter and of the malt scale with caramel and brown sugar overwhelming the senses. Slightly nutty finish.

Got this one up in Manchester Ct, on a reccomendation from DYCsoccer. 22 0z bomber, bottle conditioned. Pours a murky plain brown with a thick off white head and leaves some lace. Aroma is light brown sugar, toffeee, light roasted nuts, caramel malts and a hint of DMS. Sweet body, ligth astringency lightly hopped, nutty and light chocolate malts and wierd hint of herbal/mint bubblegum somehow. Not too complex, but has a decent flavor and doesnt really seem like it is 7%. Seems more like a german alt to me than a brown ale.
