BeerHawk (864), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA Jan 1, 2006 Bottle from Beers of America Historical Collection sampler available at Sam’s Club. Poured a clear deep amber with a fizzy off-white head. Caramel, nutty, and wheat aroma. Light malts, grass, and citrus in the flavor. Light body, cardboard aftertaste. And this is one of the better ones in the sampler.
daknole (1284), Plantation, Florida, USA Jan 4, 2009 I think I know why they call this an old ale....becuase is tasted old as hell. No idea what they were really trying to do...but they failed. Bland, watery, malty and just plain boring. markwise (450), Just North of Tampa, Florida, USA Jan 1, 2009 So-so beer from a mix pack from Brooskville, FL Publix. There is not much to this beer. It pours with a tiny white head. Aroma and flavor are malt and water with some corn and maybe some hops. I do not like it. kcmo19 (96), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA Dec 17, 2008 Updated: Dec 18, 2008The only thing decent about this beer is its aroma. The rest of the beer doesnt really have much to it. travita (915), Lewisville, Texas, USA Sep 14, 2008 Copper colored with a light off white colored head. Clear in look. Aromas are malt, corn, and some hops. Taste is malts, corn, and hops. Decent balance missing though and somewhat weak. lightning9191 (82), Christiansburg, Virginia, USA Sep 1, 2008 Pours a golden hue with little head. The aroma is predominantly malty with some hops. The flavor is quite malty and is balanced with hops. The body is medium as is the carbonation. This beer is okay. I’d drink it again. Nothing special.
