Barrios (852), Nashville, Tennessee, USA Jul 26, 2009 Pours a lacing, eggshell white head with a golden-amber body. Smells of grain, hops, slight belgian funk. Flavor is mellow floral and citrus hops, yeast, and grain. TheGent (143), , Massachusetts, USA Jul 14, 2009 A growler picked up for my sipping pleasure. A cloudy yellow color with much less carbination than I would have expected from an APA. Small floral and tiny bit orange zest aroma. Took a lot of chewing of this one to get some flavor out of her. Mostly some grass and flowers from the hops with a tiny bit of bitterness. Kind of watery but a clean finish. Agood buy the share with many friends of mixed taste. mansquito (819), Boston/Philadelphia, USA Jun 15, 2009 Pours a golden color, with a thin white head. Mild and not too great grainy aroma. Mild taste of hops. Tastes almost like a lager if that makes any sense, because it is so grainy. Also it is kind of watery. Not that great at all. I would doubt that this is a proper APA... more like a blonde ale. BBC makes many better beers. jcwattsrugger (5223), Florida and, New Jersey, USA May 19, 2009 @CBC-22oz bottle–pours a white head and yellow/gold color. Aroma is grain/light malt, herbal hops. Taste is grain/light malt, some herbal hops, creamy.
boFNjackson (1233), Portland, Oregon, USA May 3, 2009 Tap @ The Druid... Poured a light orange with a white head. Faint aroma of tangy hops. Sweet citrus notes with mild hops. A little yeasty, estery off flavor in the finish. Other spiced notes like cinnamon. smcolw (314), Wayland, Massachusetts, USA Apr 11, 2009 Served from a 64 ounce growler:
With a strong whiff of yeast, the pale ale malt is slightly lost. The hop fares better although it is also hidden behind the citrus aromas of the yeast. Do I detect a touch of wheat?
Cloudy, and far more pale than I expected (golden color). Decent head and lace
Spicy flavor up front, clove and floral hop. A properly bitter aftertaste is also present after I swallow. Very dry with a moderate amount of carbonation. Fuller bodied than I’d expect from the color. Decent brew that is growing on me as I sip it. mouse725 (74), Albany, New York, USA Apr 5, 2009 Had a nice "faint fruit" character to it- but by no means a sweet beer. Not a lot of hops, might benefit from a few more. Would definitely drink again, especially in the summer. linc33 (177), Albany, New York, USA Mar 28, 2009 On tap at Theodore’s, Springfield MA. A good pale ale, not too complex and not near IPA status.. strange presence of strawberry/raspberry in the mid to back palate.. Good though and would drink again.
