Jblauvs (530), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA Aug 31, 2008 light gold pour with frothy head. Faint hop aroma. Clean taste with some earthy hop notes. Overall boring puboflyons (589), New Hampshire, USA Jul 22, 2008 From a 1 pt. 6 fl. oz. bottle purchased in Massachusetts. Pours a cloudy yellow with a good supply of carbonation. Not a lot of white head though. Aroma of corn and grass mainly. Taste is crisp and clean and not dissimilar to your typical macro, except a bit bolder. I noticed the hops more than the malts. Better than most macro pales and goes down fast. blklab2007 (932), Connecticut, USA Jun 22, 2008 22 oz. bottle poured a light golden color with fairly hefty carbonation and a one finger white head that disappeared quickly. aroma has sweet malt, grains, and light hops. mouth feel is light with ample carbonation. flavor is sweet, grainy, and has better hops than a macro but not much more. even for an American pale ale it comes across a little light. OldRaspy (292), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Jun 19, 2008 Poured from 22oz bottle a hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma was a caramel malt with a light floral hop. Flavor was a sweet malt with a light hop bitterness. thejon375 (390), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 5, 2008 Not my favorite of the bunch, tasted a little like bud light. For a micro could have had a little more taste and complexity to it. Visited my girlfriends dad in Mass and came across the Berkshire line of beers and was pretty impressed. Liked the 22oz bottles for the price excellent deal. mcox90 (618), Wilton, USA May 12, 2008 22 oz bomber served cold in a shaker glass. Pours a pale gold color with a small white head. Nose is grainy with citrus background.
Thin weak body. Flavor is slightly lemony, slightly caramel, slightly hoppy. Everything slightly. A basic brew designed to neither inspire nor offend. Would be a good lawnmower beer. At least it’s inexpensive, $3.50 for a bomber. changeup45 (782), Orlando, Florida, USA Apr 10, 2008 The second of the Berkshire’s beers I’ve tried and I must say I liked the other more (Berkshire Ale). I’m having a little trouble viewing this as a true Pale Ale. Pours a golden color with a thin white head. Taste is sweet, with a corn like flavor in there with very subtle hops. Not very hoppy at all. Reminds me more of a Lager than a Pale Ale. Still, it’s pretty refreshing and overall not bad. Pwn3d (1036), Manhattan, New York, USA Mar 31, 2008 750ml bottle. Nose was a bit strange - mettalic under fruit and hops. Taste was corn and some part of the strange nose. Dont really care for this one.
