Davin (48), Vermont, USA Mar 21, 2008 Not a very appetizing color, kind of a hazy yellow with huge carbonation bubbles. The aroma is grainy and slightly spicy. The flavor is sweet and tastes like it never finished fermenting. I’ll finish the bottle but I wish I didn’t buy it. RCL (1444), Waltham, Massachusetts, USA Mar 15, 2008 Growler. Light fruits in the flavor, but mostly dominated by toasted bread. Super easy drinking, at the cost of depth and complexity. Pretty good, though. alexanderj (2213), Chino Hills, California, USA Feb 26, 2008 Bomber purchased in Boston; surprisingly pale in color, even despite the name. Smallish white head. Aroma of toasted malt, fresh grass and citrus/lemon. Definitely having this beer on the wrong day, as it rains outside. Would make a goos summer beer. Light and refreshing. Slightly sweet and yeasty. Bready and apple malt flavor with a rather minimal amount of grassy hops. Overall it was unoffensive and would be nice on a hot summer day. cheapdark (2011), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 7, 2008 Thanks RCL for this big bomber. Looks like many other american pale beers but then it gets cloudy, towards the bottom it gets hazy. Medium low carbonation. Smell is hint of fresh slag. Clean on the olfactory. Some wet hay insults the palate. Then it turn s light for an extra. An almost big blast of carbonated freshness. Processed and industrial at time like many higher quality pale lagers. Overall a really nice chance to have a beer that exhibits little bitterness on the finish. Thanks for this opportunity Ray! hopdog (5535), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 24, 2007 22oz bottle. Poured a medium golden color with a large sized white head. Aromas of citrus (lemony), grains, and light caramel. Tastes of citrus, caramel, and a little floral. Thinner body and tastes. punkeedo (465), San Antonio, Texas, USA Dec 13, 2007 Very quaffable EPA. Pours light yellow with little to no head. Sweet with light hops notes. Not very complex. A great summer beer, highly recommended to accompany meals. Trooper11 (464), Suffolk, Virginia, USA Nov 27, 2007 This bomber is a bomber. I think their flagship beer hit an iceberg. No date on bottle so I am hopeful that maybe I just bought a leftover from last year that went skunk. Very clear yellow brew, small dissipating head and pungent sour dough aroma with notes of apple. Medium bodied heavy malty flavor, finishes weak bitter semi dry. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Nov 27, 2007 Bomber. Pours clear gold with a thin white head. Distinct apple aromas, lightly grassy. Flavor is... meh. Light apple and funky grass. Rather watery and fizzy. Dry finish.
