A nice easy-drinking pale ale. Niice balance of hops and malt. An amber-like pour. I liked it and would drink again...nothing amazing, but very drinkable.

Pours a clear gold with slight white head. Malt/Hop is more to the malt side, clear crisp taste, light to medium body, solid beer. Had this in bombers, growlers and on tap, never disappionted.

Tap at Max Burger, Longmeadow, 18/05/13. Very lightly hazed pale golden with a thin white head. Nose is pale malt, grass, citrus, light hops. Taste follows. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp finish with a little bitterness. Ok drinkable affair if a little unforgettable.

Bomber. Pours slightly hazy golden/yellow with a thick white head that fades quickly. Light aroma citrus with light coffee notes. Flavor citrus with slightly carbonated and light body. Not my fav type of beer. Finish is long and smooth but otherwise eaves little to remember it by.

Bottle. Pours a somewhat anemic straw color with a medium head. Sweet malty aroma of grains, caramel, and a touch of coffee. Flavor has similar components, but more balanced with some hop bitterness. A solid session beer, better than its ratings here would indicate.

Bland and relatively tasteless pale. Very light floral hoppyness that is welcoming after drinking the swill I had before this. Really a very average to below average pale ale but nothing offensive.

Tap at Mass MoCA during the Jeff Mangum concert. Pours mostly clear gold with a small, white foam head. It’s a very simple beer, lots of bready malts, mellow bitterness, some caramel and ripe orange. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Basic, sweet malty finish, suggestions of pine and citrus, lots of pale bread. It’s an easy-drinking beer but certainly quite restrained.

Translucent gold with a thin white head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation.

Aroma: pilsner malt notes, herbal hops, clean yeast, and a touch of salty minerality gives this a german helles character.

Taste: grainy US 2 row, and herbal german-esque hops. Very clean fermentation.

Really comes across like a German Helles lager made with US malt.

It poured a light golden color and it left a one inch white foamy head in my nonic. Some nice foamy clingy lacing appears and gently slides down the sides of the glass. The body was pretty clear. The smell was very malty through creamy sweet corn, hops were there but extremely subdued. The taste was sweet through the previously mentioned flavors and grew slightly bitter as the hops came in through some slight warming of the.beer. The mouthfeel was medium. It was fairly drinkable. It leaves a sticky aftertaste and a slightly bitter finish. Overall, I liked it for the most part, Id have this again. It didnt stray from the style.

Had this innumerable time on tap, as I live in the Berkshires and this beer has a near monopoly on restaurant taps in the area. It’s not undrinkable--beats a bad lager--but is one of the weakest, blandest pale ales I’ve ever had. Thin, underhopped, insubstantial head--really nothing going for it. Wish they’d stop making this or at least marketing it so aggressively. Appeals to tourists looking for "something local," but it’s a bummer from a beer geek’s point of view.
