Bottle. Pours a somewhat anemic straw color with a medium head. Sweet malty aroma of grains, caramel, and a touch of coffee. Flavor has similar components, but more balanced with some hop bitterness. A solid session beer, better than its ratings here would indicate.

Crisp Clean. One of the pioneers of western mass craft brewing. If you like European Lagers this beer is more than acceptable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: APR 15, 2015
Location: 12 oz can from Nikki’s Liquors, 4/6/15

Aroma: The aroma is bready malts, with some herbal and spice notes.
Appearance: It pours an unclear gold-orange color with a sheeting white head and mid-heavy lace.
Flavor: The taste is similar, bready malts, lightly sweet, spice and herbal light bitterness.
Palate: The body is light-medium, fairly clean, average carbonation, and a lightly dry finish.
Overall Impression: This is decent. Not something I’d rush out for again, but a decent offering none-the-less.

Bottle from Winooski Beverage Warehouse. Aroma: cereals, fruits (orange, grapes?), spices, grass. App: hazy straw with small white head. Taste and palate: light body, oily, watery, light sweetness, light bitter finish. Overall: a boring pale ale, not complex, body too thin, not enough bitter, not enough malty.

Light and refreshing, with a strong, fruity aroma but not a whole lot of flavor to go with. Light Amber colored and smooth. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Transfer from BA review on 8-1-12 - Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – Pours a lightly hazed golden color with a two finger white head. The head fades relatively fast to leave a moderate level of lacing. Smell – The aroma is sweet with strong notes of a caramel and butterscotch nature. Mixed with this is a lightly roasted bready aroma as well. Taste – A sweet malty flavor greets the tongue. The biscuit flavored maltiness is mixed with a heavy dose of caramel. As the flavor advances on, the roasted flavor begins to lose their strength, with flavors of butterscotch and light fruits as well as hoppy flavor (which is quite light) working their way into the flavor profile. The taste finishes leaving a rather satisfying flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side with the carbonation level that is very appropriate. Both good and tasty. Overall – A very easy to drink and quite enjoyable brew. One to try if you get a chance.

Bottle. Light yellow gold pour with a big head that dissipated quickly. Caramel covered cereal, spice, citrus juicy, herb and lemon peel. Spicy carbonation. Medium body with crisp cool bubbly finish. Nice beer on a warm day
